Ahead of the match, while speaking to the media, Samson shared that he likes to switch off his mobile phone to cut off distractions.“I switch off my phone, actually! There’s definitely a lot of competition between the two teams. We’re looking to dominate the West Indies, but they’re a really good side and can come back strongly. His batting performance in most other bilaterals has been shallow, with the opener failing to make a mark and being replaced by young Vaibhav Sooryavnashi on several occasions. Hence, the West Indies T20Is remain his redemption chance, where too, in the first match, he returned with a figure of 11.ALSO READUmesh Yadav Picked As Punjab Announce Squad For Ranji Trophy 2026-27 Round 1
