The two teams locked horns against each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where Sanju Samson brought up a 33-ball fifty. For the unversed, it was Samson's third-straight fifty in the tournament.
Sanju Samson Shatters Virat Kohli's World Cup Record
With the breathtaking knock, Samson broke a plethora of records but the one that stood out from the rest is Chetta going past Virat Kohli's 12-year-old record. Sanju took his run-tally to 320, breaking Virat Kohli's 319-run record scripted in 2014 T20 World Cup.

Virat held the record for good 12 years, but now Samson has the most runs by an Indian in a single edition of T20 World Cup. It has been a brilliant tournament for Samson as he has scored 321 runs in just five innings.
Not just that, but Samson also dethroned and went past Kohli for most runs in World Cup history in knock-outs. The former India captain held the record with 149 runs, but Samson has now 150+ runs.
