RCB vs DC WPL Final 2026 (Source:X)
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 reaches its climax as Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals face off in the final at Vadodara. Both teams have had outstanding seasons, though their journeys to the final have been very different.
RCB and DC's Journey so far
Delhi Capitals have returned to the WPL final for the fourth consecutive season, but previous campaigns have ended in heartbreak. This year, they showed great resilience, first surviving the Eliminator and then defeating Gujarat Giants under pressure in the semifinal.
Interestingly, every WPL season so far has seen the Eliminator winner go on to lift the trophy, giving Delhi hope that their story might finally end in triumph.
RCB, meanwhile, dominated the league stage and was considered almost unbeatable. They faced a few challenges toward the end, but they found their best form at the right time.
RCB vs DC: The ultimate showdown
RCB openers, Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana, have been in excellent form, scoring quickly in the power play. The middle order, including Richa Ghosh, Nadine de Klerk, and Georgia Voll, adds depth to the team.
In bowling, Lauren Bell and Sayali Satghare have been economical, while Shreyanka Patil leads the spin attack, making RCB a well-balanced and tough side to beat.
DC have had an inconsistent season but remains dangerous with a strong bowling lineup. Nandani Sharma has shone in the death overs, supported by Shree Charani and Marizanne Kapp.
With Laura Wolvaardt and Lizelle Lee providing steady batting performances, DC will be hoping Jemimah Rodrigues can find her best form to help them win their first WPL title.

RCB vs DC Final: Captains Thoughts
Jemimah Rodrigues (Delhi Capitals Women Captain): "In crunch games like this, it is better to lose the toss. But yeah, we would have bowled first as well. We are going with the same team.
(On final preparation) We just kept it very simple. We kept our plans simple. We didn't try to overthink.
We played the Eliminator here on the same pitch, so we know what it's going to be like."
Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women Captain): "We would like to field first today. Of course it's been a trend in this tournament but on a good wicket it's good to know what you are going to chase.
We are playing with the same XI.
