The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled Pakistan Women’s squad for the upcoming T20I and ODI series in South Africa starting next month. The Pakistan team is scheduled to face hosts South Africa in a series of three T20Is and three ODIs between February 10 and March 1.

The T20I series will serve as a crucial testing ground for both sides before the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England later this year. As per the squad announced by the PCB on Wednesday, January 14; senior pro Fatima Sana is set to continue her role as Pakistan Women’s captain for the tour.

Pakistan looks to revamp ODI fortunes in SA after World Cup drubbing

The Pakistan Women’s team, under the leadership of senior bowling all-rounder Fatima Sana, failed to win a single game at the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in India a couple of months ago. With four defeats and three no-results in seven matches, the ‘Women in Green’ finished at the bottom of the eight-team points table.

Aiming to revamp their dwindling ODI fortunes, the PCB has now named a 15-player Pakistan Women’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in South Africa. Despite her underwhelming returns as a leader off late, Fatima Sana is set to continue as Pakistan Women’s captain.

Sana will be accompanied by fellow star attractions in the form of wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali, senior fast bowler Diana Baig, wily left-arm spinners Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu among others. Here is a look at the entire Pakistan ODI squad for the series in South Africa.

Pakistan places strong bet for T20 World Cup 2026-prep SA T20Is

The PCB has also assembled a strong squad of 15 players for the three-match T20I series in South Africa. The tour will start off with the T20Is between February 10 and February 16, with matches set to be played in Potchefstroom, Benoni and Kimberly.

Notably, the T20I series will also serve as a crucial dress rehearsal for the tourists before the all-important 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England this June.

Much like the ODIs, Fatima Sana will be reprising her role as T20I captain in South Africa. Under her leadership, the Pakistan Women’s team last played 20-overs internationals back in August 2025 last year in Ireland, losing a three-match rubber against the hosts 1-2.

Several ODI inclusions also got a place for the T20Is, like Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, wicketkeepers Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali among others. Here is a look at Pakistan Women’s T20I squad for the upcoming South Africa tour.
