However, the forthcoming BBL season will be Bracewell's maiden stint in the Australian cricket festival. He will join the likes of Will Sutherland, Oliver Peake, and recently contracted Jonny Bairstow at Renegades. “I’m looking forward to joining the Renegades, the BBL is a competition I’ve watched plenty of over the years and one I’ve always wanted to experience. Although BBL 2026/27’s business end would clash with the white-ball series against Sri Lanka, Michael Bracewell availability for the whole season could be tricky. That said, he recently opted for a casual contract from New Zealand Cricket.
