The authorities claimed that the mail was received around 11:00 AM IST during the morning session of Day 3, mere minutes before the match came to a conclusion at around 11:15 AM IST. As per Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Anil Patel, this was not the first instance of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad receiving a bomb threat via email. The official claimed that the venue previously received a similar threat during a 2023 World Cup match and during an IPL season.
