Overall, England will play its World Cup matches across different venues in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.England's road to 2027 ODI World CupEver since Brook became the England ODI captain, the team has fared well in the 50-over format. The Three Lions defeated Sri Lanka in an ODI series at the start of the year, and their biggest series victory came against India at home a couple of months ago.Sri Lanka became their latest victim, as the Harry Brook-led side once again defeated them, 2-1, this time at home to ooze confidence as only a year is left for the World Cup 2027 to begin.Ahead of the World Cup, England will play plenty of ODI games, starting with a tri-series featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Once that gets over, England will travel to Australia for a much-anticipated ODI series, with star players taking part in the matches.The former World champions will also play a three-match ODI series during their away tour of South Africa in January 2027.
