Amid his injury, doubts are mounting over his availability in the Bangladesh cricket team for their upcoming Test series against West Indies. Rana has already missed Bangladesh’s two-match tour of Australia, and was also not a part of the national side in last month’s 2026 Asian Games in Japan. However, the fast bowler has resumed bowling with much intensity in the past few weeks to build up his workload ahead of Bangladesh’s upcoming fixtures.As Nahid Rana fights his way back into the Bangladesh team, the speedster was recently excluded from the national squad for their upcoming ODI tri-series in the UAE against Zimbabwe and Afghanistan cricket teams. Explaining Rana’s exclusion from the series, BCB chief selector Habibul Bashar said “Rana is not considered for the tri-nation due to his injury as he is going through rehabilitation.”As of now, Nahid Rana is yet to play any form of cricket since returning from Zimbabwe in July.
