What a nail-biting thriller we witnessed today. That's it from our live coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of Manan Mehta and Sachin Yadav. Stay tuned for our live ball-by-ball coverage of the second BPL match of the day. Cheers.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Sylhet Titans Captain): "Definitely it was an excellent match. We played well especially Omarzai the way he batted. In the end it got very interesting. The home crowd was superb for us. They cheered us brilliantly.

Omarzai was superb with both bat and all. He kept the momentum going on. We certainly need to improve in the back 5 overs. We are giving too many runs in that period in the last two games."
Azmatullah Omarzai (POTM): "Always love to play in Bangladesh. My cricket career started here and it's always nice to play. I had a tear in my right shoulder but now it is well. Just bowled at the right areas and got help from the pitch, which resulted in wickets for me. The wicket was gripping a bit. You can't hit a left-arm spinner from leg to off on this kind of wicket. Therefore, I just played with the turn and hit straight. Kept my head still and base strong."

Time for the post-match presentations..
Mohammad Mithun (Dhaka Capitals Captain): "Yeah definitely. It was a great game. The way Shamim played was phenomenal. We all know how capable he is. After 15 overs we lost the momentum in the first innings. Dropped too many catches. During our batting as well, we lost too many wickets up front and we were behind the game.

This was a one man show. Only Shamim stayed out there. He unfortunately got no support. Unfortunately, it is a short tournament, and we do not have too much time between games so need to come back strongly very fast. It was a good crowd. Obviously, they will support their home side. We need to take it in our stride and come back stronger."
4:12 PM IST, 4:42 PM Local Time: Mohammad Amir shows his experience and delivers a perfect yorker. He gives no chance to Shamim Hossain to hit a six and take this match into the Super Over. However, Shamim plays a blinder of an innings and almost took his team over the line from out of nowhere. Sylhet Titans win the match by six runs.

Sent in to bat first, the Titans built their innings steadily after a measured start. The top order laid the platform before the middle order accelerated through the latter half of the innings, ensuring the run rate never dipped. An astonishing innings from Azmatullah Omarzai, who was playing his first BPL match of the season, helped Sylhet reach a competitive total of 173/5 from 20 overs, setting Dhaka a stiff target of 174. Omarzai scored 50* off 24 balls.

The Capitals’ reply unravelled early. Wickets fell at regular intervals as Sylhet’s bowlers exploited movement with the new ball and maintained pressure through the middle overs. The side lost their openers, Zubaid Akbari and Saif Hassan, for single-digit scores. Meanwhile, their skipper Mohammad Mithun was dismissed for a golden duck.

Dhaka slipped to 60/5 after 10 overs, leaving the chase in serious trouble.

There was a 46-run stand between Sabbir Rahman and Shamim Hossain but it never looked threatening enough for the Titans.

Until Shamim decided to take the game deep and launch over the Capitals' bowlers with some great cheeky shots. He stitched a 51-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Taskin Ahmed. However, in that partnership, Taskin's contribution was just three runs.

With 45 needed from the final two overs and with just two wickets in hand, Shamim decided to take it on himself. He scored 18 runs from the penultimate over. Now needed 27 from the final over. Some cheeky boundaries early in the over reated trouble for the Titans but with 7 needed off the final ball, Pakistani left-arm seamer Mohd Amir nails a picture-perfect yorker on which Shamim had no chance to free his arms. He stayed unbeaten at 81 off 43 balls and Capitals ended their score at 167/8.

With this victory, Titans have moved to the second spot of the points table with two wins from three games. Capitals are now at the fifth spot with one win and one loss out of their two games so far this season.

0 Amir holds his nerve! You may be supporting any team today, but you have to feel for Shamim! He has played an absolute blinder! Dropped two catches in the first innings! Came in under massive pressure to bat and has scored 81* off just 43 balls. Back to the ball. Amir realises that a pin point yorker will be tough to hit for six. Nails it and all Shamim can do is block it out. Sylhet Titans sneak out a win by just 6 runs!
