Milestone
That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya, scorer Asraj Khan and stats guy Aman. Bye bye.
Irfan Khan Niazi (Pakistan A Captain): “Everyone is putting in the effort and our morale is high. Everyone has played their role perfectly. All the boys, even the ones not playing, we have rotated and they have chipped in really well.

The captain’s role is to see the situation and give the plan to the bowler and the batter. The execution is their part. I feel the execution is very well. I just ask them to execute these plans and they have been doing well.

(On Maaz Sadaqat) It’s all about hard work. He has belief and he is a key player for our team."
Alishan Sharafu (UAE Captain): “As you said, three games and three losses is not a good feeling. Lots of positives from each game. Lots of players are playing their first international game. They showed great character. We have a young side but the way we fought till the end in the second game was great.

It’s a part of the learning and we look forward and try to get better. It’s a rising stars tournament and if the youngsters are to evolve and get better for international stage, it’s a great platform. You learn from wherever you can and move forward."
Maaz Sadaqat (Player of the Match): “First of all, thanks to the almighty Allah. Behind this, there is a lot of hard work. I just try to work hard. I know what my game is and try to play in my way.

I’m a batting all-rounder. But when the opportunity comes to bowl, I don’t think that I’m a batter. I try to bowl according to the situation.

I see myself and try to rectify my mistakes in batting, bowling and fielding."

5:06 PM IST, 2:36 PM Local Time: That’s it. Pakistan A make it three wins in a row and end the group stage on a high. They decimate UAE here at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, winning the fixture by 9 wickets with 14.4 overs to spare. UAE were completely outplayed today and end their campaign with zero wins to their name.

It was a dismal batting performance from UAE after opting to bat first. Their top three batters returned to the hut inside the powerplay. Syed Haider Wasi Shah (20) tried to resurrect the innings but fell right before the drinks break. The procession of wickets continued as the Pakistan A bowlers dictated terms.

Mohammed Faraazuddin (12*) was the second and the final UAE batter to get to double digits as they got bundled out on 59 in just 18 overs. It was a dominant bowling performance from Pakistan A, with each of their six bowlers entering the wickets column. Sufiyan Muqeem (3/12) picked up three scalps whereas Ahmed Daniyal (2/7) and Maaz Sadaqat (2/19) picked up two each.

Chasing a modest total of 60, Pakistan A lost Mohammad Naeem (6) in the very first over to Muhammad Rohid Khan. Ghazi Ghouri joined Maaz Sadaqat who started aggressively and kept dealing in boundaries. He played some magnificent strokes and kept scoring at a brisk rate.

Ghouri provided the finishing touches to the game by hitting a couple of boundaries. Sadaqat and Ghouri remained unbeaten on 37 and 16 respectively as Pakistan A chased down 60 in just 5.2 overs with nine wickets in hand. UAE had a forgettable day on the field whereas Pakistan A storm into the semi-finals with a comprehensive victory.

Stick around for the post-match presentation.
