That brings an end to a completely one-sided Super Sunday clash between the two arch-rivals. India A were thoroughly outplayed in all facets as Pakistan A dominated from start to finish and, with this emphatic win, became the first team to seal their spot in the semi-finals.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash who, along with scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋
Irfan Khan Niazi (Pakistan A Captain): "Thank you. We wanted to keep things simple. We have really good spinners in our side. That's our strength and they bowled really well.

Yes, Ubaid bowled really well with the new ball. Overall, all the bowlers bowled well today.

Maaz (Sadaqat) is a key all-rounder in our team. I am really happy for him.

Yes, we are really happy to win this game but we will be more happy when we win the cup."
Jitesh Sharma (India A Captain): "I think these things happen in T20 cricket. I don’t blame anyone — it all comes down to how well you handle the pressure. The good thing is that I’ve gained some valuable experience during the league phase, and the team can make use of that heading into the semifinal.

Looking at our team, it’s always tough to judge what a good score is because of how Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Arya play. They set the tone up front, and once they do that, it becomes the responsibility of the middle order to finish the job. Today was just a bad day, and I’m not dwelling too much on it.

But I’m proud of the boys. They showed tremendous character out there — the way they threw their bodies around in the field and bowled with the intent to take wickets was a great sign. That fighting spirit was clearly evident.

I think they played really good cricket. I won’t mind saying that we just lacked a little bit in terms of soaking up the pressure, but that’s okay. Most of our boys are just 22 or 23 — this is their learning phase. It was a good game, and I really don’t have any complaints. This phase is all about gaining experience, and I’m sure they’ll use what they’ve learned today in the upcoming matches."
Maaz Sadaqat (Player of the Match): "I am very happy to win the game for my country. I have worked really hard behind my bowling as well as my batting. I am really happy that I got it's reward.

The wicket was on the slower and lower side. I was a bit watchful in the start but accelerated as the game progressed.

I have enjoyed the tournament so far. Every match is important for us. If we win a game, we keep that behind and try to focus on the next one."

11:04 PM IST, 8:34 PM Local Time: Mohammad Faiq finishes things in style as Pakistan A defeat India A by 8 wickets, with 40 balls to spare, extending their winning streak to two matches. A blockbuster contest that eventually turned into a one-sided affair, thanks to a solid comeback with the ball from Pakistan A. With this win, Pakistan A have qualified for the semi-finals.

Earlier, Pakistan A staged a remarkable comeback in the second half of the innings to bundle out India A for just 136 in 19 overs, marking the lowest total of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. India A began brightly as Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Naman Dhir guided them to a strong position at 93/3, with Suryavanshi scoring 45 and Dhir contributing 35. However, a dramatic collapse followed as they lost 7 wickets for just 35 runs, with the middle and lower order offering little resistance.

Shahid Aziz was exceptional with the ball, returning 3/24, while Saad Masood and Maaz Sadaqat chipped in with two wickets each to dismantle India A’s innings.

In reply, Maaz Sadaqat went honkers and bonkers right from the outset, adding 55 runs with Mohammad Naeem — though Naeem chipped in with only 14. Sadaqat survived a couple of lucky escapes but never took his foot off the pedal, racing to a well-deserved fifty.

Then came the moment that finally injected some entertainment into the Doha crowd — pure chaos in the 10th over. Nehal Wadhera and Naman Dhir combined for what looked like a sensational relay catch right at the edge of the boundary. The new batter had already walked in and was taking guard. But seconds later, the third umpire flashed NOT OUT on the big screen under the new rules. The twist? It wasn’t signaled as six either — instead, it went down as a dot ball. The Indian players were stunned, left in disbelief as they engaged in animated discussions with the umpires, adding a burst of drama and hype to what had otherwise become a one-sided contest.

Yasir Khan managed only 11, but Sadaqat stayed unbeaten on 79. Mohammad Faiq (16*) finished things in style with a maximum, sealing the win for the Boys in Green. Yash Thakur and Suyash Sharma only managed a one wicket each for Boys in Blue.

Stay tuned for the presentation....
