That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Sahil Khan. Bye bye.
Georgia Voll (Player of the Match): β€œIt’s nice to finish off with a win. It bounced more than the other ones. But the plan was to bowl wider to Belsy. The planning worked and it changed the momentum quickly. Nice to restrict them to a low total.

With the short game, I said I'll just leave it to you (Phoebe Litchfield). We saw how well she did in the shortened game last week. Just give her the strike. Some of the shots that she plays is just unbelievable. To go out there and bat with her was awesome.

We have got such a great group. I think it’s disappointing to not get to the finals but it was nice to finish off with two wins. There were a couple of games that we could have won. A disappointing end to us but nice to finish it off with two wins."

7:57 AM IST, 1:27 PM Local Time: End of the contest. Sydney Thunder Women end their campaign on a winning note. They beat Melbourne Stars Women by nine wickets in this rain-curtailed fixture at the Junction Oval. The Stars Women will have to get back to the drawing board quickly as they have now lost three games in a row.

Chasing a DLS revised target of 76, skipper Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll gave Thunder Women a solid start. Both played some beautiful strokes upfront and didn't allow the Stars bowlers to settle. Litchfield kept dealing in boundaries and kept scoring at a brisk rate. Thunder Women brought up 50 in just 4.3 overs.

Litchfield scored a quickfire 37 off 23 before falling in the seventh over to her opposite number Annabel Sutherland. Georgia Voll was joined by Laura Harris and both remained unbeaten on 33 and five respectively as Thunder Women chased down the total in just 7.1 overs with nine wickets in hand.

Earlier in the day, the Stars were asked to bat first and they were placed at 29/0 after 4.2 overs before the rain arrived. The action resumed and the match was reduced to 10-overs-per-side. Rhys McKenna scored 22-ball 24 before holing out in the deep right after the resumption. It opened the gate for Thunder Women.

Skipper Annabel Sutherland (0), Danielle Gibson (15), Maia Bouchier (1) and Amy Jones (0) fell in a quick succession. Lanning, opening the batting, labored her way to 13 before getting dismissed in the final over. A flurry of wickets at the end meant that the Stars finished their innings on 66/6.

Emily Arlott (2/18), Georgia Voll (2/13) and Lucy Finn (2/10) picked up two wickets each for Thunder Women. The top-order batters then stepped up and chased down the revised total in just 7.1 overs to end their campaign with a win.
