10:32 PM IST & Local Time | Bengaluru Blasters gets their first win off the Maharaja T20 Trophy 2025 as they beat Gulbarga Mystics by 5 wickets remaining on the back of Chethan LR's match winning knock of 75* runs off 48 balls.
Earlier, Bengaluru Blasters won the toss and opted to bowl first. Their bowlers put up a stunning show with ball and at one point Gulbarga Mystics were reeling on 67-9. However, Lavish Kaushal smashed 5 lusty blows in the end and remained not out at 54 runs in 30 balls as he got his side to a score of 112-allout.
Vidhyadhar Patil was the pick of the bowlers for his side as he bagged 2 wickets and gave away just 13 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
Chasing 113, Chethan LR and Rohan Patil started steadily with the ball moving around a bit. The latter was then removed by Vyshak Vijaykumar with the score of 16 on the board.
Chethan LR took his time in the start and then started to gain confidence. He smashed 22 runs in the final over of the powerplay to ease down some nerves.
Vyshak Vijaykumar then bagged 2 wickets in 2 balls and got his side back in the game with a sniff. However, Chethan LR stood tall with the bat and held one end firmly. He brought up his half century in the process. In the end, he remained not out at 75 runs from 48 balls and helped his side to get over the line with 34 balls to spare.
