Milestone
Right then. We have got our first finalist - Eagle Nashik Titans. However, the tournament is not over for Puneri Bappa, who will get another go the day after tomorrow. But before that, Raigad Royals will fight it out with Kolhapur Tuskers in the Eliminator, starting in a while! Switch your tabs for the live action from there.

This is Arjun Bhalla signing off on behalf of Utsav and Asraj - my colleagues for the day!
Mandar Bhandari (POTM): "Actually, this was a very important knock. Now, we have a two-day break before the final, but we would have lost, so we had to play three games back-to-back.

So, the plan between Arshin Kulkarni and me was simple - Not to go after the bowling and play the powerplay cautiously.

All credit goes to the spinners for the way they bowled. They restricted them to 150 (153 runs) on this wicket. It was really tough and they bowled exceptionally well."
Player of the Match: Mandar Bhandari
Prashant Solanki (Eagle Nashik Titans Captain): "Ya definitely, the ball is gripping so the idea is to not give away free runs and keep it tight and the wickets will follow.

As I said before, we saw the pitch and we felt that it has been under covers for a very long time, and yes it can spin and stick a bit. So, simple plans, bowl stump to stump and get some turn on the wickets and it happened.

(About Sairaj Bahutule) Yes, sir coming in makes a huge difference. He being the legend which he is, there are very less players who play tests for India, and he is one of them, and as a unit I am very sure that each and everyone is very grateful to have him in our dugout.

Sir, there was no such plan as in, they were just taking their time as it wasn't an easy pitch and Mandar Bhai played beautifully, even Arshin, the way he was being there, that made the difference and in the end Sahil and Ranjit doing the job,"
Time for the post match presentation!
Yash Kshirsagar (Puneri Bappa Captain): "Actually, I am not happy with our batting performance today, especially after the start we got. We were 20-25 short on this track. We kept losing wickets in the middle. It went in a heap, it went too fast. I guess that made the difference between 180 runs and 150.

I guess there was a bit of moisture on the pitch because of the covers. I think it started gripping a bit. They bowled really well, especially their spinners in the middle overs. Credit should be given to them.

I think, actually, that is why it is important to finish in the top two. One bad day, one bad game doesn't end your tournament. We will get one more go, we will come more prepared the next time."
6:45 PM IST, Local Time: Eagle Nashik Titans won the match by 8 wickets and 16 balls to spare.

And this is it, for the all important qualifier 1 match between Eagle Nashik Titans and Puneri Bappa. Prashant Solanki, captain of Eagle Nashik Titans, won the toss and invited Puneri Bappa to bat first. Puneri Bappa had a decent start in the powerplay, they lost a wicket early but Murtaza Trunkwala and Rushikesh Sonavne built a good foundation in the powerplay.

It was an all spin show after the powerplay as Prashant Solanki, Akshay Waikar and Rohan Damle tightened the screws in the middle overs, containing runs and picking wickets in packs. Rushikesh Sonavne stood tall till the end and with the help of Suraj Shinde managed to take Puneri Bappa to a score of 153 for the loss of 8 wickets.

While chasing 154, the ENT batters made light work of the chase as they never really found themselves trailing behind the asking rate. Opener Mandar Bhandari took the game away from Puneri Bappa as he scored a match winning half century.

After Mandar got out, the rest of the game was chased down by young Sahil Parikh and Ranjit Nikam, who played some glorious shots and made sure that ENT find themselves on the winning side at the end.

The Puneri Bappa bowlers failed to build the pressure on the ENT batters, forcing them to play rash shots and as a result, ENT chased the score down with barely any hiccups.
