10:50 PM IST, Local Time: The rain has the final say. Raigad Royals win by 5 runs (DLS Method).
This is it from this fixture, Maharashtra Premier League Match 13, between Raigad Royals and Eagle Nashik Titans. Raigad Royals won the toss and decided to bar first. The proceedings began with an early wicket for the titans, as Mukesh Choudhary struck early. This was followed by a blitz partnership taking the Royals to a very commanding position and utilising the powerplay, between Harsh Mogaveera and Siddhesh Veer. Right at the cusp of Powerplay coming to an end, Harsh was disimissed by Yogesh Dongare, but the scoring rate never came down. Siddhesh Veer played a majestic inning and ended up with a sensational century, taking Royals to a massive score of 216/5.
217 was the target in place, and the Titans openers also suffered an early breakthrough. This was followed by a flurry of boundaries, from Arshin Kulkarni and Sahi Parikh. Even after the wicket fell, the scoring rate didn't suffer much. Rohan Damle was taking the chase head's on. But rain played as an anti-climax. ENT were at par with the DLS par score but the wicket of Rohan Damle fell right at the cusp of a down pour of rain. The wicket took the par score ahead and ENT found themselves trailing by 5 runs.
This match has fallen in the favour of Raigad Royals, and Eagle Nashik Titans despite the way they have, have eventually conceded a loss. Raigad Royals will have the all important 2 points that keeps them very much in for title race.
