Milestone
A historic moment for UAE as they defeated Bangladesh twice in a row to clinch the 3-match T20I series 2-1, marking their first-ever T20I series win against a Test-playing nation.

Originally scheduled as a 2-match series, it was later extended to three matches. UAE staged a solid comeback after losing the opener, winning the next two games to seal the series.

The hosts were on top in the opening game but lost momentum and faltered in the chase. They found themselves in a similar situation in the second T20I, but this time held their nerve in a crunch situation, with a few errors from Bangladesh helping them cross the line.

In the final game of the series, the Muhammad Waseem-led side looked like a completely different unit β€” first with the ball for most parts of the first innings, and then with the bat during the chase. They made amends and crucially avoided losing wickets in clusters, even when the pressure was on. In the end, they crossed the line comfortably with 5 balls to spare.

Time to wrap up this coverage, folks! It’s been a pleasure bringing you the live updates of this exciting series. We hope you enjoyed the thrilling battles between these two sides. For now, it's me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Cheers & Good Night!😴
Muhammad Waseem collects the trophy, πŸ† joins his teammates, and lets out a roar as he lifts it high, pointing towards the sky, before they gather for the team photographs.

Litton Das (Bangladesh Captain): "I mean, not up to the mark. When you come here, you think to win but this is part of life. Sometimes, the opposition play well. You have to give credit to them, they played well today. We made a few mistakes in the batting today. It wasn't a good performance on this surface.

Definitely, the way Parvez, Tanzid and Hridoy batted. It was good to watch. Couple of guys bowled well but we have to learn more and execute better in the match.

They played well. Today they played really well in the first half. They bowled well, that's why we couldn't get to a big total. Dew helped them in the second innings. But they did well, credit goes to them."
Muhammad Waseem (UAE Captain & Player of the Series): "I'm very happy with this victory. Congratulations to our management, our board, and a big thank you to our support staff β€” our head coach, fitness trainer, analyst, and everyone involved. I'm truly delighted. We've created history today.

Yeah, this series means a lot to us. It's going to be very helpful for us moving forward, and I'm really happy with the boys' performance. The way Asif played, along with Alishan Sharafu and Rahul Chopra β€” it was outstanding. And Haider's bowling, along with the efforts from the rest of the bowlers, was equally impressive. I'm just very proud of the entire team. Honestly, I have no words to describe this victory.

Honestly, we never lost hope. We're quite familiar with playing in these conditions. I'm absolutely delighted β€” this is the first time I'm receiving this trophy, and I’d like to dedicate it to my son."
Player of the Series: Muhammad Waseem
Alishan Sharafu (POTM): "Yeah, the plan was simple to go out there and play as many balls as possible. Just wanted to spend as much time as possible in the middle.

(Muhammad Waseem) He has been fantastic. Losing him early was a big blow but it gave others the chance to step up.

As soon as he came in, the plan was to keep the scoreboard moving and every now and then, getting a boundary here and there.

I am sure everyone is pumped up. When the 3rd game was announced, everyone was pumped up. We took it one game at a time and everything fell in place after that."
Player of the Match: Alishan Sharafu
