That is it from Qualifier 2. Punjab Kings knock Mumbai Indians out of the tournament with a five-wicket win after the rain delayed the start for more than two hours. It will be a famous IPL final this season, with RCB and PBKS fighting it out on Tuesday for their maiden titles. The venue is the same, and the Punjab have some scores to settle against a high-flying RCB side away from home.
This will be the second time that Rajat Patidar and Shreyas Iyer are taking the field in the final, leading respective teams within a year, with the earlier meet-up being in the SMAT final between Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai, with the latter having the last laugh.
MI have played like a champion team, but came across a more determined PBKS side. We will be back with the grand final. Until then, switch tabs and watch out for more action from different tournaments across the globe. For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Pritam Dey, scorers/analysts Manish Bishnoi and Paras Yadav and statistician Aman brought you all the live action of this cracking fixture!

Shreyas Iyer (Player of the Match and Punjab Kings Captain): "I don't know, to be honest. I love such big occasions. I always say to myself and my colleagues that the bigger the occasion, the calmer you are and the better the results. I was focusing on my breathing rather than sweating out there in the middle.
As I mentioned right before the game, all players need to be assertive and show their intent from ball one. They weren't able to capitalise on their starts. Their intents were stupendous. Even for me, when I went in, I had to spend some time. The more time I spend on the middle, the better I get, and my vision also gets better. From the other end, the batters were striking pretty well.
(After the loss to RCB in Qualifier 1) Just throw the imagination. Also, the hiccup in the bin and not think too much about where we went wrong. The intent and the positivity were imperative right from the first game. Throughout the season, we have played well. One match can't define us.
(Speaking about what Shreyas Iyer talks to youngsters like Priyansh, Prabhsimran and Nehal) I just let them be. I don't ask much from them. I love the fearlessness they bring to the table and the ideas they share. If you go and talk to them, they have got that information on how to play a certain situation. Even though they haven't got that much experience, they have that fearless nature in them. I feel they have that brave nature, and in such big occasions, it's important that they need to gain more experience.
To be honest, I wasn't thinking or expecting where I would go in the auction. I always wanted to go into a good environment. My mind space is more important than where I am going. I am comfortable in this environment. The management is also helping to create a good environment. Everyone around me and the environment are very positive.
I am just staying in the moment, cherishing the situation, going to the dressing room and celebrating with teammates getting into the final. I personally think that the job is only half done. So, I don't want to think too much about the final. Just be in the moment, rejuvenate, relax, get a massage before tomorrow's game and be in a great mindset.
(After the match-winning innings, what happened in the dressing room?) Yeah, I was locked in. Thank you so much!"
