Milestone
And that’s exactly why the IPL is the most unpredictable and thrilling league in the world. Just three days ago, we were crunching numbers wondering if GT, RCB, or PBKS could win back-to-back games and seal a top-two finish. But in true IPL fashion, all three teams slipped in their penultimate group games and suddenly, Mumbai Indians have found their way back into the mix.

It was a clinical display by Delhi Capitals tonight, who finish their campaign in 5th place, ending the season on a high. Despite just four matches left in the league stage, the race for final standings is still wide open, with no clarity on which of the qualified sides will finish in the Top 2.

Looking ahead to Super Sunday, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Gujarat Titans host CSK in Ahmedabad, and a win will confirm a Top 2 finish for GT. Later in the evening, SRH take on KKR in Delhi, which is a dead rubber. For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya & Ajay Pal Singh who, along with scorers Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYEπŸ‘‹
Sameer Rizvi (POTM): "It feels very good. I have worked hard for the past 2-3 months in the nets. I have got the feedback about my game from the coaches as well. So, yeah, feels good.

I didn't have the confidence about doing well in the IPL before this innings. Now, I have the confidence to play well in this league and win a game for my team

When I walked out to the middle, we needed over 100 runs in 50-60 balls. First, I wanted to have a look at how the pitch was playing, used 4-5 balls to get set. The wicket looked good and I played my shots."

Faf du Plessis (Delhi Capitals Captain): "Yeah, I think it is really important. You want to finish in the top four but we feel probably 5th is a reflection of where we wanted to be. To end up in top 4 you need to play consistent cricket. So, I think it is a fair reflection on us. Important to end with a win.

It is one of the geat mysteries. Confidence, lack of form. Small things, when you are playing well and doing the basics well, you win those small margins in the game. In every game, we feel like 5-6 overs with both bat and ball, we were not up to the mark. It cost us as in this kind of a competition with that blip, you are not going to win.

IPL is all about young boys and domestic cricketers. Vipraj was a find for us, with the ball, he contributed in every game and even with the bat. It is rare for a leg spinner to be an all-rounder, it is an asset for Delhi Capitals.

2 of 3 batters there in the setup who if keep learning and keep improving, can be good batters in the future."
