That marks the end of our coverage of the first Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. A Test match has been drawn at Galle after 26 games. Angelo Mathews, the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer has played his last match for the national team in whites. A career that started 16 years ago at Galle against Pakistan, has come to an end at the same venue. Now, just three days later, the second and the final Test of this series will kick off at Colombo.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar and our statistician Aman. Do switch the tab to follow our coverage of the Headingly Test between England and India.

Dhananjaya de Silva (Sri Lanka Captain):"Well I always talk about first innings. It went out of our hands in both batting and bowling. Yes it was flat but we could've bowled well. The wicket was flat and Mushfiqur and Shanto batted very well and didn't give us any chance. Our spinners tried their best. Not at all worried regarding their performance.
When I came to the scene, it was under Angelo's captaincy. When he is leaving the Test, it is under my captaincy. This is a thing to remember for me! Angelo is leaving the format and we all have to move forward. We have the back-up for Angelo."
