That's all from this contest, folks! Deepak Prakash here signing off on behalf of the scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. CHEERS!
Atman Pore (POTM): "I bowled a bit fuller, and there was some assistance for the bowlers. Off the field, I just listen to music and try not to overthink cricket. My focus is on taking more and more wickets in the upcoming matches."
Player of the Match: Atman Pore
Rahul Tripathi (Kolhapur Tuskers Captain): "It was all about the fast bowlers hitting the right areas, and they executed that really well. Our plan was simple — to go after the bowlers (chuckles)."
Time for the post-match presentation....
Azim Kazi (Ratnagiri Jets Captain): "Yes, it’s been a tough start for us, but I believe we’ll stage a comeback. The wicket played very differently, and we lost too many wickets in the powerplay. The positive, though, is that we recovered well from that situation."
6:28 PM IST, Local Time: Kolhapur Tuskers drub Ratnagiri Jets by 7 wickets and start their MPL journey on a high. On the other hand, Ratnagiri Jets have lost three games in a row.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Ratnagiri Jets got off to a horrible start as they were rocked hard by Kolhapur Tuskers’ new-ball bowlers and were reeling at 4/3 in the 4th over. Azim Kazi and Divyang Hinganekar paired up in the middle and steadied the sinking ship of the Jets. As the innings progressed, the duo shifted gears—particularly Hinganekar, who smashed five sixes in a row off Atharv Dakway and raced to his fifty in just 22 balls.

However, the impressive 91-run partnership for the fourth wicket was broken when Shreyas Chavan dismissed the on-song Hinganekar for 58. On the other hand, Kazi failed to bat till the end and fell just 3 short of his fifty.

Nikhil Naik took responsibility for scoring at the death overs as the right-hander smashed 40 runs off 28 balls and propelled Ratnagiri over 170 runs in 20 overs.

Atman Pore shone with the ball for Tuskers, claiming three wickets. Shreyas Chavan chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Rajneesh Gurbani and Anand Thenge celebrated a solitary wicket.

In reply, Rahul Tripathi and Ankit Bawne provided a decent start to Kolhapur Tuskers, with the openers adding 53 runs for the first wicket. Satyajeet Bachhav trapped Tripathi for 32 runs and drew first blood for the Jets.

Runs dried up in the middle phase of the innings, with Bawne and Sachin Dhas finding it difficult to accelerate. Just as Sachin began to find his timing, he was dismissed for 35 at a crucial stage of the chase

Bawne notched up his fifty, but he too failed to bat till the end and perished for 51 runs. Siddharth Mhatre came out all guns blazing and hammered an unbeaten 35 runs off just 14 balls and helped his side cross the line with 8 balls to spare.

Stay tuned for the presentation......
