Australia spoil Dre Day in Jamaica as they brush aside the West Indies by 8 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Andre Russell fired with the bat but couldn’t deliver with the ball in his final outing for the West Indies, as Australia chased down the target with 28 balls to spare.

The action now shifts to St Kitts for the final three games, with West Indies needing to win all of them to take the series.

For now, this is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues Utsav Chandak, Deepak Prakash, and Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Goodbye!

Australia's biggest wins over West Indies in a T20I (In terms of balls remaining):

28 balls – Kingston, 2025 (This Match)

22 balls – Gros Islet, 2010
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "I think we’ve got a lot of talented players in Australia. Obviously, the likes of Hazlewood, Starc, and Cummins can’t play all three formats all the time, so it’s really important to build depth within the squad and have as many options as possible.

Well, I think first and foremost, you just want the guys to come in and feel as relaxed as possible. International cricket is a big step up, but a lot of that challenge is mental. So, it's about creating an environment where they’re clear on their roles and can focus on executing their skills. I think, as a group, we’ve done that really well in the first two games.

(On Green) I’m not sure I’m the one to be making those decisions, but he’s obviously a really valuable player for us. He hasn’t played a lot of T20s for Australia, partly because he’s been involved in a lot of Test cricket and is just coming back from injury. But the last two games have really shown the talent he possesses, and he’s definitely an important player for us moving forward.

I think we dropped four catches, so we definitely need to sharpen up there. But overall, the West Indies can put you under a lot of pressure. I thought our spinners were fantastic, and our bowling unit as a whole was really good — they made good use of the conditions. And when Josh Inglis is batting like that, there aren’t many bowlers in the world who can contain him. That was an outstanding innings."
Shai Hope (West Indies Captain): "It is a tough one. We have been starting well but I think we have to learn how to rotate the strike in the middle overs and then get back to our normal ways to finish the innings. We haven't really been clicking the way we want to but we have 3 games left.

The way the guys have been preparing and the way they have been playing I cannot really fault the preparation but it just about executing under pressure. You have to perform under pressure but we haven't been doing that.

The reality of the game, the catches will go down. Catches win you matches and you only have yourself to blame. Having said that, you still got balls to bowl and still have to make sure you put them under pressure when you are in the field. You want to grab all the chances but it is just part of the game."
Josh Inglis (POTM): "I think it's just the nature of my boys, really. Guys like Greeny and Mitch can hit the ball a long way — I don’t always have that luxury. So I just try to find ways that suit me better, scoring in different areas of the ground.

I think it comes down to experience and having played a lot of cricket in different positions. As you said, I’ve batted at the top of the order and in the middle. It’s definitely nicer at the top with the harder ball and fewer fielders, but I hope I can make the No. 3 spot my own — I really enjoyed batting there.

Yeah, it's awesome. It’s a really fun, young group, as you said. We’ve been together for around 18 months now, especially when the senior guys are resting after Test cricket. They've brought a lot of energy into the side, and yeah, we genuinely have a lot of fun together.

I felt like I managed the tempo pretty well at times. After getting a bit lucky early on with that dropped chance, I thought I handled those middle overs nicely with Greeny."
