So that marks the end of our coverage from the first semifinal of the International Masters League between India Masters and Australia Masters. India Masters have defeated the Aussies by 94 runs and have got the sweet revenge of their group stage defeat against the men in yellow.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Darpan Tikiya and our scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Good night.
Sachin Tendulkar (India Masters captain): "We played well. I though to bat first and put a decent total on board was a job well done. Runs on the board motivated us.
We took some good catches and put down some easy ones. But when it mattered, we pulled it off. Nadeem was very good. When you go out in the field you have to give your best. We knew that it would be wickets that will win us. We bowled well.
I felt good while batting. Though, my body keeps on reminding me that I will be 52 soon. We know how good Australia are. We picked up wickets at crucial times and that won us the game.
Both Sri Lanka Masters and West Indies Masters are good sides. We need to pull our socks up and be ready for the finals. Special mention to Yuvi's (Yuvraj Singh) knock. He was very good. Raipur has been pretty good. Wherever we go, we receive a lot of love and affection."
Shahbaz Nadeem (Player of the Match):"It is always special to play and win against Australia. After scoring 215, we knew that it won't be easy for them. Earlier matches had dew but this match, there was no dew. The ball was not skidding on. It was not easy at all.
Paaji said in the dressing room that we will let them put runs on the board and then will go for the runs but today we lost the toss and gladly we got going and finally we have won. My plan was simple. I tried to bowl at the stumps and make them struggle for the shots by using the pace. I am glad to do it.
Player of the Match: Shahbaz Nadeem
Power Player of the Match: Sachin Tendulkar
Most Sixes of the Match: Yuvraj Singh
Master Stroke of the Match: Sachin Tendulkar
Time for the post-match presentations.
Shane Watson (Australia Masters captain) says: "It went wrong across the board. Indian batters batted beautifully. Sachin (Tendulkar) was pretty good and oh Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh)... (giggles).. that was vintage Yuvi!
It has been nice to get the pads on and get back on the park. We can't thank IML enough. It has been a lot of fun. Everyone has had a great time. Quality cricket has been on display for the majority of the time. Hopefully the final will be the same."
