Mayank Agarwal (Karnataka Captain):"Feels great. Feels amazing actually. We turned up after Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. We are a team in transition. Four guys out of the team has made their debut and a few guys have just the second season.
It is a very interesting period for Karnataka. Last one and a half year has been good and I just loved my time with them. Smaran and Shrijith batted really well. They took the game deep and then Manohar came and hit a few to put a good total on the board."
Player of the Tournament: Karun Nair
Ravichandran Smaran (Player of the Match):"The plan from semi-final was to take the game deep and I just followed it.
I batted with Shrijith a lot and the talk was simple to take the game deep. We started finding boundaries in every over and the pressure was reverted back. We got a few singles in every overs. That intent helped us to get a good total.
The role was given to me by the team was to take the game deep."
Player of the Match: Ravichandran Smaran
Great Indian Striker of the Match: Abhinav Manohar
Karun Nair (Vidarbha Captain):"I like to say a huge thank you to every team members. I like to congratulate everyone. The support staffs did well for us. Huge appreciations to all. We have a long season left and many more games to win.
I think we gave 20-25 runs extra but they batted well. We came to bat and looked decent. But then, it is a very good game of cricket. Huge congratulations to Karnataka. If we had two wickets more, we would've been in the game.
I am just following the basics. After a couple of years, things are falling in right place. A lot of backing from my team and my family helped me."
