That marks the end of our coverage from the 50th T20 match of T20 Blast 2025. Derbyshire have comfortably defeated Leicestershire and got their second victory out of the seven matches they played so far in this tournament.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Good night.
10:15 PM IST and 5:45 PM Local Time | Derbyshire Falcons have won the home game by 7 wickets and with 10 balls to go. They batted excellently and outplayed the Foxes totally.

Leicestershire Foxes got off to a good start thanks to Sol Budinger and Shan Masood. The opening stand was off 52 runs but most of the runs were scored by Budinger. Rishi Patel got out for 9 and Shan took the onus. Sol Budinger missed a well deserved fifty by just a run and Shan Masood played a good knock of 43 runs. Later in the innings, two cameos from Ben Cox and Logan van Beek propelled the team score to 196. Cox remained unbeaten on 28 off 18 and van Beek contributed 26 off 12 balls.

For the Falcons, Patrick Brown took 3 wickets and Samit Patel took a couple of wickets.

Coming to chase the target, the Falcons started their innings with a bang as Caleb Jewell hit Logan van Beek for a boundary first ball. They started hitting boundaries in every over but the carnage of the highest order happened in the 4th over of the run chase. Aneurin Donald smoked Matthew Salisbury for four boundaries and a maximum to catapult the scoring rate. Falcons added 80 runs from the powerplay and that decided the game.

The Foxes came back as Tom Scrivens removed Caleb Jewell and Aneurin Donald in the 8th over. Donald top scored in the run chase with 60 off 25 balls. His innings was decorated with 7 fours and 4 sixes. The Falcons were 93/2 when Wayne Madsen and skipper Samit Patel took the onus. They added 60 runs for the 3rd wicket before Scriven removed Madsen. Madsen scored 35 before his dismissal. Samit Patel took on Tom Scriven in the latter's final over and took the equation down to 4 off 2 overs. He hit Logan van Beek for a boundary in the penultimate over to secure the victory for his team. Falcons skipper remained unbeaten on 52 off 32 balls.
