Derbyshire Falcon's search for their first T20 win in the summer of 2025 continues. On the other hand, the Bears have still only climbed up to the 6th place in the points table, but it is the manner in which they won this game that makes them a team to watch out for going forward.

We hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. It is time for us to say goodbye. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the world. This is the duo of Darpan Tikiya and Ashok Dayama signing off. Until next time, sayonara! 👋🏻
11:20 PM IST, 6:50 PM local time: Warwickshire (Birmingham Bears) win by 58 runs.

Hasan Ali's six-for, which also included a hat-trick, will steal the headlines — as it should. However, this win for the Bears was, by no means, a one-man show. The point becomes even clearer when you look at how Hasan got his wickets. Both Lloyd and Andersson slashed at wide deliveries. Those wickets were as much as the fielders' as they were Hasan's. Barnard had plucked one out of thin air to send Andersson packing, while Garton — who had a memorable day — had snapped the one off Lloyd's bat. Though, Hasan was smart enough to keep it at the stumps to the tail-enders and end with six to his name.

Lets talk about the tall lefty who contributed in all three departments. Four catches, a wicket with the ball and a 4-ball-16* — that was George Garton's contribution to this game. He swung the ball viciously at the top, making life difficult for the Falcons top order and was probably half the reason why the batters went chasing after the wide ones that resulted in their dismissals. The writing was pretty much on the wall when the Falcons were 4-down for 28. While, Wayne Madsen and Ross Whiteley did give a fight, they were always chasing the 8-ball.

Earlier, Alex Davies' slam-bang 49, Tom Latham's well-paced 58 and Moeen Ali's effervescent cameo at the back end had allowed the home team to score 199/6. For Derbyshire, the pacers were inconsistent with their lines and lengths and while the spinners did bring some control, they weren't penetrative enough.

W BOWLED! HASAN ALI HAS 6! Once again, keeps it simple to the number 11. Full and at the stumps. Brown backed away and had a wild swing, but only connected with air. The stumps were left in shambles, embodying how Derbyshire's T20 season has gone thus far. They have been mauled today. And with that, they are winless, four games into the competition.
