That's all from this contest, folks! A comprehensive victory for MP as they seal their spot in the summit clash, where they will face Mumbai on Sunday. For now, it's me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. CHEERS!
Rajat Patidar (Player of the Match and MP Captain): "A lot of the credit for our performance in the tournament so far goes to our bowlers. It's no easy feat to keep the batters quiet on a surface and in a stadium like this, which has always been a challenge for bowlers.

The message to the unit was clear—we wanted to chase in this game. Personally, I've always focused on making the maximum impact with my batting, recognizing which bowlers I can target. It becomes easier for me because of the incredible players around me.

We've spent a lot of time together, and that makes our job even more enjoyable as we celebrate our successes along the way."
Player of the Match: Rajat Patidar
Striker of the Match: Rajat Patidar
Ayush Badoni (Delhi Captain): "I think we were a few runs short. We needed to be more aggressive in the powerplay, but our batters didn’t quite execute the plan as needed. However, they gave it their best. Overall, we had a good campaign, but not getting the job done is disappointing."
Time for the post-match presentation....
7:36 PM IST, Local Time: Harpreet Singh Bhatia seals the game in style as MP storm into the grand finale of SMAT 2024. It was a strong all-round performance from Rajat Patidar's side and they will face mighty Mumbai in the summit clash on Sunday.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Priyansh Arya (29) provided a decent start to Delhi, scoring at a brisk pace but Yash Dhull struggled at one end and departed for 11 runs off 18 balls.

MP bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths in the final overs of the powerplay, restricting the batters from scoring freely. Ayush Badoni (19) and Himmat Singh (15) took time to settle at the crease but struggled to accelerate, both falling to Venkatesh Iyer in the same over, leaving their team in trouble.

Runs dried up in the latter part of the innings. Anuj Rawat (33*) and Mayank Rawat (24) looked sluggish as they struggled to hit boundaries in the middle. However, Anuj found his rhythm at the cue end of the innings and smashed a few boundaries, helping Delhi post a respectable 146/5 in 20 overs.

Venkatesh Iyer bagged a couple of wickets for MP, while Tripuresh Singh, Avesh Khan, and Kumar Kartikeya celebrated one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 146, MP got off to a shaky start as Ishant Sharma struck on the very first ball, dismissing Arpit Gaud for a golden duck. The tall pacer then removed Subhranshu Senapati (7) in the third over, putting MP on the back foot early in the innings.

However, Ishant lacked support from other bowlers, who leaked runs at regular intervals and allowed batters to settle on the crease.
Harsh Gawli was scoring briskly, but Himanshu Chauhan dismissed him for 30, offering a glimmer of hope for Delhi. Yet, Harpreet Singh Bhatia and Rajat Patidar joined forces in the middle, steering the game firmly away from Ayush Badoni's side.

Patidar brought up his fifty off just 23 balls and remained unbeaten on 66, while Harpreet Singh Bhatia contributed an unbeaten 46. Their 100+ run partnership sealed the win for MP by 7 wickets, with 26 balls to spare.

Stay tuned for the presentation...
