Nicholas Pooran (POTM & MI Emirates Captain): "It is the nature of the game. I have been playing this format for a very long time. I had to get the job done and be there till the very end.
The key is to trust yourself. You need to absorb pressure. This win is for Polly (Pollard). We are starting to find our groove. We are moving in the right direction.
Our group has been challenged time and time again. We are trying to execute the plan to the best of our abilities. The guys have been very supportive of me. This has to be one of my favorite playing grounds to play on."
Player of the Match- Nicholas Pooran
James Vince (Gulf Giants Captain)- "Both the sides batted very well in the match. At the end they got a bit better from us and took the win. Yes we will surely look at the table and will look to win the next match to remain in the tournament."

Here's a review of what happened on the match.
Earlier, MI Emirates won the toss and opted to field first. Gulf Giants posted 173/6 on the board in their quota of 20 overs on the back of their skipper James Vince's tremendous knock of 86 runs from 50 balls.
Muhammad Rohid Khan impressed with the ball from the Emirates camp as he bagged 2 wickets and gave away 36 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
Chasing 174, MI Emirates got off to a flying start by their openers. Muhammad Waseem (26 off 10 balls) and Andre Fletcher (31 off 31 balls) hit the ball running from the start, as the duo put up 44 runs for the first wicket.
MI Emirates then suffered a mini collapse as they collapsed from 44-0 to 71-4. Aayan Khan and Blessing Muzarabani bowled brilliantly in the middle phase and did not let the batters score runs freely.
With 84 runs required in 36 balls, the game was slipping out of MI Emirates's hands. Nicholas Pooran who could not get his timing early on then stepped on the gas and along-with Bevon Jacobs, the duo added a quickfire 53 run for the 5th wicket to get their side back into the game.
Gulf Giants then came back into the game by picking up a wicket of Bevon Jacobs. With 25 runs required in 12 balls, Romario Shepherd(23* off 9 balls) smashed 19 runs in the penultimate over and got them into the driver's seat.
Nicholas Pooran (58* off 37 balls) then sealed the deal for his side with a match winning six on the first ball of the final over. As a result, MI Emirates won by 5 wickets.
