So that marks the end of our coverage from the exciting match of ILT20 2025 between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and MI Emirates. MI Emirates have defeated the Knight Riders by 28 runs.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Aditya Agarwal and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Good night.
Romario Shepherd (POTM) : "It feels good. We talk how important it is to win the game. I was kind of relaxed when I was batting with Pooran. I just wanted to bat till the last over and then explore some options. Yeah, I still want to be a complete all-rounder. I have been working with the staff constantly."
Player of the Match - Romario Shepherd
Nicholas Pooran ( MI Emirates Captain) : " Yeah, it was a complete performance with both bat and bowl. It is really crucial to have Romario into the side. He gives us flexibility. Probably, the fielding has something which we have improved. It is nice to see the guys put up great work in the session."
Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Captain): "I think till the 18th over we did well. We were behind over rate and a guy came inside the circle. Romario is very powerful. Yes having one spinner is tough but you have to go as per your strengths.

There are a lot of things that go wrong when you have a bad time. I think we lost a few wickets but overcoming that later, we played good cricket. We need to focus and take away some learnings and discuss it in the dressing room."

Time for the post-match presentations.
12:00 PM IST and 10:30 PM Local Time | MI Emirates crush Abu Dhabi Knight Riders as they beat them comfortably by a margin of 28 runs.

Here’s a review of what happened in the match.

Earlier, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI Emirates finished strong and posted 186/6 on the board on the back of Nicholas Pooran (49 off 26), Muhammad Waseem ( 38 off 35) & Romario Shepherd’s blistering (38* off 13).

Ali Khan and Jason Holder went on the expensive side but bagged 2 wickets apiece.

Chasing 187, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders started on a solid note with Kyle Mayers and Andries Gous ( 34 off 34 balls) hitting the bowlers to all parts of the ground from ball 1.

Kyle Mayers ( 22 off 14 balls) then got run-out unfortunately. Joe Clarke came in at 3 and fell cheaply too. Romario Shepherd then took back to back wickets in the final over of the powerplay to further push the Knight Riders on the backfoot.

Wickets kept felling at regular intervals. Andre Russell and Sunil Narine chipped in with a 50 run stand for the 7th wicket. But the target was way beyond their reach and they could only manage to score 158/9, as a result MI Emirates won by a margin of 28 runs.

Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd bagged 2 wickets apiece. On the other hand, Andre Russell top scored for his side with his knock of 37* runs from 23 balls. Stay tuned for the presentation!
