That's it from our coverage of match number 11 in the Bangladesh Premier League season 11! Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "5 in 5! It's a full team effort and it's time to maintain our position and keep our feet on the ground because a long way to go. We need to follow the process and play as a team - what we did in the last 5 games - long way to go in the tournament.

Conditions are not in our hands but we need to follow the process."
Nahid Rana (Player of the Match): "Yes absolutely, I am feeling really good. I am satisfied that I am able to contribute for my team. Very happy.

I was not thinking much to be honest. I tried to assess the wicket and tried to bowl at the right line and lengths.

Absolutely, I tried to bowl in the right areas that's it."

Time for the Post-Match Presentation!
Thisara Perera (Dhaka Capitals Captain): "Actually it is pretty disappointing to see. We have lost 4 games in a row. We have to figure out in the team meeting regarding our batting line-up.

Actually it was only 3 changes not 6. Actually we played our best combinations today. Very well balanced batting & bowling line-up. We did not click as a unit in our batting department.
Largest margin victory by balls remaining in BPL 2024-25:

30 - Rangpur Riders vs Fortune Barishal (2nd January, 2025)

30 - Rangpur Riders vs Fortune Barishal (2nd January, 2025)
3:46 PM IST, 4:16 PM Local Time: A fantastic performance from the bowling unit and then an attacking start from Alex Hales has taken the Rangpur Riders to their 5th consecutive win this season as they make short work of the Dhaka Capitals with a 7-wicket win.

The Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nahid Rana led the charge with 3/21, Akif Javed (2/13) and Khushdil Shah (2/14) bowling brilliant spells with only Mohammad Saifuddin remaining wicketless. The brilliant show helped restrict Dhaka to just 111 in 16.3 overs.

Mustafizur Rahman got Dhaka an early breakthrough but Alex Hales's fiery 44 in 27 balls that included 4 fours and 3 biggies took the game away from Capitals. He was sent back by Mosaddek Hossain in the 9th over while trying to hit consecutive maximums in the leg side.

Khushdil Shah joined his compatriot Iftikhar at the crease and finished things off in the 14th over scoring 27 in 13 balls with 4 fours and a maximum in his unbeaten effort.

Mustafizur (1/23 with a maiden) stood out with Mukidul Islam and Amir Hamza doing their best to restrict the scoring rate but there just weren't enough runs on the board for the Dhaka bowlers to apply the brakes.

Rangpur maintain the top spot in the points table with 5 wins off as many games, Dhaka having lost all 4 contests remain at the bottom of the table and are yet to open their account this season. Stay tuned as we return with the post match coverage.
