That's all from the match no. 2 of the BPL 11, folks! For now, this is me Aditya Agarwal signing off on behalf of Ajay Raghava and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "I think the wicket was really good. The first six overs were good for us. Khushdil and Iftikhar were brilliant for us. We had a chat in the mid innings that we need to bowl into the pitch on this surface.
(On Mahedi Hasan) He is in very good touch and it is good for our team. We are looking forward to our next game, hopefully, we'll do well in it."
Khushdil Shah (POTM) - "First of all, I would like to thank almighty for my performance. I went in when the platform was set. I wanted to play my natural game. Iftikhar was on the non-striker's end and he helped me to shape my innings."
Player of the Match - Khushdil Shah
Time for the presentations.
Thisara Perera (Dhaka Capitals Captain): "Yeah, we have to take a lot of positives from this game. Win or lose, you have to take it with both hands. We gave 15-20 runs extra. It is the beginning of the tournament, we can sit back tomorrow and figure out what went wrong.
We didn't execute our plans. In this pitch, if you go deep, it is easy to chase 180. As a team we have trained well, want to do well in the next match."
09:40 PM IST and 10:10 PM Local Time | Rangpur Riders kickstart their campaign with a thumping win over Dhaka Capitals as they beat them by a massive margin of 40 runs.
Here's a review of what happened in the match.

After the dismissal of Iftikhar Ahmed, Nurul Hasan and Khushdil Shah played quickfire cameos for their team and helped their side to get to a respectable total of 191/6.
Alauddin Babu brilliantly throughout the innings and picked up 3 wickets to his name.
Chasing 192, Dhaka Capitals started off on a high note on the back of an outstanding opening stand by their batters. As a result they were 58-0 after the end of the powerplay.
Mahedi Hasan then came into the bowling attack and spun the web around the Capitals's batters. he bagged 4 wickets in a quick succession and put the Dhaka side on the backfoot.
Wicket fell at regular intervals and Capitals collapsed from 65-0 to 96-5. The required run rate kept creeping up and the batters fail to contribute to the team's cause. In the end the target was way beyond from their hindsight and they lost by a huge margin of 40 runs.
