9:19 PM IST and 7:49 PM Local Time- The Chennai Braves skipper Thisara Perera smashed a few big maximums towards the end of the innings but it wasn't good enough to get them over the line as the Ajman Bolts have cruised to a 18 run victory. Their bowlers never allowed the Braves batters to settle down and it became a herculean task for the batting side towards the end.
The Chennai Braves lost a couple of wickets early on but Rassie van der Dussen played a good knock. He smashed 24 runs of 12 balls before being dismissed by James Neesham who mixed up his pace really well.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa took on the bowling for a while and managed to get a few big overs but the required run rate was far too high for his liking. He was done in by Mohammad Nabi who bowled an excellent spell under pressure.
Thisara Perera picked up a few late boundaries but Kobe Herft couldn't deliver under pressure as he could only pick up the singles. Neesham and Behrendorff bowled two excellent overs at the death to take the game away from the Braves as they struggled to get the big overs. In the end it became a mere formality as 35 runs were required from the final over.
Mohammad Nabi was the pick of the bowlers and James Neesham also did a really good job as he managed to pick up a wicket in his two overs. Mohsin was expensive but he did get a breakthrough up front as he got the key wicket of Dan Lawrence.
