That's it from our coverage from the inaugural season of Global Super League 2024. Rangpur Riders lost their first two games and then were about to forfeit the final as an issue came in front regarding NOC of their three key players. Despite all the odds, they have outperformed the Victoria in the final to get a victory by a big margin of 56 runs to become the inaugural champions of the tournament.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Saipavan Janaki and Aditya Agarwal and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Don't go anywhere. Just switch the tabs to follow our exclusive coverage of the ongoing pink ball Test match between Australia and India and the Test match between New Zealand and England
Rangpur Riders cricketers are joining their skipper Nurul Hasan as he is receiving the medal from the Honourable President of Guyana. The fireworks go off and the players are celebrating and posing for a photoshoot.
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "It's a great achievement for us, and we've won the trophy. I want to dedicate this victory to those who lost their lives in June and July this year. After losing the first two games, we were very disappointed, but the boys were really hungry to win, and they worked hard for it. We created momentum on the field, and that helped us secure the win.

Today, the wicket was a bit tricky, so we planned to bat first and set a target of 140 to defend, but we ended up scoring more. The ball wasn't coming on properly, but both openers played really well. Sarkar’s performance throughout the tournament was fantastic. Today, we made the runs and did it well to win the game.

It's been a great tournament, and the boys are very happy. The management has been very helpful, and we’re really looking forward to playing again next year. The President of Guyana was very supportive, and I want to thank Rangpur, Guyana, and everyone involved. Thanks!"
Nurul Hasan Sohan is collecting the medal and the entire Rangpur Riders' players are collecting their medals one by one.
Corey Anderson (Victoria Captain): "I think you just need to play it with all passion and if the victory doesn't happen it is okay. I am extremely proud of the squad as they performed really well. They have done well in every facet of the game for the last 4 games.

I think we needed to bowl better but Soumya Sarkar and Steven Taylor batted brilliantly. The conditions changed a bit in the second half and that made our going difficult. I think the ball was skidding on and it created a challenge. Their bowlers bowled well to exploit the conditions. It has been an wonderful experience.

I want to say thanks to the organizers for organizing such a competitive tournament. We are extremely thankful to the Guyanese government also.
Victoria skipper Corey Anderson and his team come up to the podium and are collecting the medals now.
Match officials are receiving their medals now.
Soumya Sarkar: "Yes, of course, first of all, thanks to everyone. Today got both the Man of the Match and Man of the Series. In the first match, I noticed that the wicket was slow and tough. I went to my room, thought about it, and made a few changes, focusing on shaping myself and building self-belief. A big thank you to Rangpur for picking me and guiding me. This feels like a turning point in my career. I know my strengths and, after seeing the first few balls, I waited for the loose deliveries and went for the big shots. Thanks"
