When Sri Lanka won the toss, and it was what we wanted to do, it was our first game here and we wanted to bowl and restrict them to a below par total. Finals are always high pressure games, but as a team we knew we needed Sediq and the message was for him to stay till the end and we won the match. Thank you very much."

After the powerplay, we thought 130-140 would be a great score. Pavan Rathnayake, Sahan Arachchige, and Nimesh Vimukthi batted really well and they bailed us out." This is a very good year for me, I scored a lot of runs in T20Is and I hope to get even more in the upcoming ODIs. Our coaches always teach us to assess the conditions and today the wicket was slow and turning, so I told myself I need to spend time and bat till the end to win the match. I just waited for the loose deliveries, it was not easy to hit every ball like other matches. I had clarity about strike rotation and shifting gears in the end.
