I want to dedicate this to everyone back home, my mum, dad and Haider bhai who provided me with all facilities. The idea was to bat through and bat long, and coaches told me that if I bat long, I would win us the game."

I've been alway ssaying to the boys that UAE cricket is in a great phase. We have our franchise league running for two years. Big teams like Afghanistan, New Zealand are touring us. So we have a good opportunity."
Jatinder Singh (Oman Captain): "I am really proud of the boys and their performance today. Not really, it's a high intensity game and you are bound to lose wickets, it's about how the next batter comes in and builds partnerships. He is marvelous and always tries to push the players and brings good energy in the dressing room. We just want to play positive and competitive cricket. I would have been extremely happy if we were on the winning side."

5:55 PM IST, 4:25 PM Local Time | UAE kick off their campaign with a solid win against hosts Oman! They have managed to chase down the target of 151 with 5 wickets in hand and 5 balls to spare! UAE won the toss and elected to bowl first, and in the first half of the innings, Oman were cruising along with a solid 86 run opening stand between skipper Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem. However, UAE bowlers upped the ante post drinks and claimed 8 wickets to restrict Oman to 150/8 from their 20 overs. Skipper Jatinder Singh top scored with an excellent 54 runs off 40 balls. While, both Jawadullah and Farooq led the charge with the ball for UAE with the identical figures of 3/21 from their 4 overs. Come the chase, Kumar provided UAE with a blockbuster start with a MAXIMUM off the very first ball but he did not last long as Shakeel Ahmad dismissed him in the 3rd over. Tanish Suri carried on the mantle with 33 runs off 26 balls until Aamir Kaleem came into the attack and combined with Nadeem to pick up 3 quick wickets to leave UAE reeling at 66/4 at one stage. Post that, Basil Hameed provided some stability along with Haider Shah to bring the chase back on track. While, Hameed departed for 19 runs off 16 balls, Haider Shah stayed unbeaten on 44 runs off 28 balls to ensure UAE chased down the target in the last over after getting a lucky break on the first ball! Aamir Kaleem was the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 2/18 from his 4 overs for Oman!
