That brings us to the end of our coverage for this match. We hope you enjoyed the commentary. Until next time, this is the trio of Darpan Tikiya, Karthik Raj and Bishal Mondal bidding you goodbye. Sayonara!
Dean Foxcroft (Player of the Match):"One of those days where everything goes your way. Was working on my being busy in the last few days.
It is a good ground to chase. Always in the game if you have wickets in hand, good that it worked. We have got a good start, important to keep up the momentum especially going into the away games."

9:51am IST, 5:21pm local time | Otago Volts win by 5 wickets with 8 balls to spare.
With this, they are now at level in terms of points with Central Stags as well as Aukland Aces. Canterbury had their chances, but could not string in a cohesive effort. Eventually, it is a comfortable win for the Volts, who did most things right in this match.
It started with their skipper calling it right at the toss. They put the opposition in and were quick to judge the pitch. Cutters and other kind of slower deliveries banged in half way down the wicket were the most difficult ones to get away. The Otago bowlers dished out plenty of them and it worked out well.
So much so that until the 17th over of the innings, only Matthew Boyle had managed to hit a boundary. The left-hander scored a commanding 81* (off 51 balls) but had very little support for most part. An exhilarating cameo from of 40 (from 17 balls) by Henry Shipley towards the end got them to 169 but it seemed well below par.
The chase was largely clinical too. The new ball swung around and a couple of batters were dismissed early. But the Volts were able to notch up healthy partnerships that kept them on track. Foxcroft and Phillips put 41 runs (in 23 balls) together for the 3rd wicket and then, Foxcroft and Chu combined to put together 54 runs (in 37 balls) for the 5th wicket.
The effervescent running between the wickets was the hallmark of the batting effort. They managed to put the ball into gaps, convert ones into twos and also picked up boundaries at regular intervals. Ultimately, they have a number of positives to be taken from this game going forward in the tournament.

4 FOUR! THAT IS THAT! OTAGO VOLTS WIN! Short and angling in, Georgeson waits and upper-cuts it over the keeper for a boundary. Skipper with the winning runs as Otago seal the game by five wickets and eight balls to spare.
With that Otago Volts are only one hit away. 4 runs to win off 9 balls.
18.3 Z Foulkes to D Foxcroft
3 Full on the stumps, Foxcroft makes room and tries to drive it through extra-cover while he gets an inside-edge rolling through fine-leg. Michael Rae at deep backward square-leg races to his right this time and puts in a cracking dive to push the ball inside. The umpires have gone upstairs to check whether it was a clean stop. The TV official has a good look at the replays and confirms it was a clean save.
Vehement shout from Foulkes. But the umpire turned it down. Remember, there is no DRS in this match.
