That's all from this contest, folks! For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Pritam Dey, Arjun Bhalla, and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!
Peter Trego (Toyam Hyderabad Captain): "Clarke is a brilliant player and we have seen him off spinning the ball in First Class cricket. I know it was a bold decision to give him the ball, but he executed it well, and the rest is history. We are still mathematically in the tournament and in a no-lose situation. It's an honor for me to lead the legends team, and I am enjoying every moment of it."
Chadwick Walton (Legend of the Match): "I wasn't 100% sure, but we knew that we should be ahead after that wicket. We are at the bottom of the table and have nothing to lose so we decided to go and play some fearless cricket."
Legend of the Match: Chadwick Walton
Shreevats Goswami (Southern Super Stars Captain): "When we were leaving the hotel, we checked the weather, and it showed only a 2% chance of rain, but it appeared out of nowhere. We were 1 run ahead, but when de Silva got out, we fell five runs short of the DLS par score. However, that's how the game goes sometimes."
Time for the post-match presentation..
11:45 PM IST, Local Time: The rain has the final say in the contest as the match is called off, and Toyam Hyderabad win by five runs (DLS method), registering their first victory in the ongoing LLC.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Chadwick Walton and George Worker scored rapidly from the outset and provided a solid start to Toyam Hyderabad. The opening duo added 69 runs for the first wicket, with Walton falling just 10 runs short of his fifty. After the first time-out, Jeevan Mendis grabbed two back-to-back wickets—George Worker (28 off 26) and Jaskaran Malhotra (0 off 1)—on the first two balls of his opening over and brought the Southern Super Stars back in the hunt.

Jesal Karia, Pawan Negi, and Jeevan Mendis exploited the conditions very well and didn't allow the Hyderabad batters to free their arms in the latter half of the innings. Shaun Marsh (27 off 25) and Rikki Clarke (25 off 29) started aggressively but struggled to time the ball as the innings progressed. Bipul Sharma (10* off 3) and Peter Trego (7* off 7) added a few crucial runs in the last couple of overs and propelled Hyderabad's score to over 140 runs.

Jeevan Mendis (2/26) and Pawan Negi (2/11) bagged two wickets each for Southern Super Stars, while Chathuranga de Silva (1/30) contributed a solitary wicket.

In pursuit of 144 runs, Martin Guptill provided a rollicking start in the first over but failed to convert it into a good score, departing for 14 runs. Following the departure of Guptil, the Southern Super Stars lost another three wickets in quick succession and found themselves reeling at 44/4.

Pawan Negi and Jesal Karia paired up in the middle, displaying immense maturity in handling the spinners on a spin-friendly strip. They focused on rotating the strike to keep the scoreboard ticking, but Shivakant Shukla trapped Karia for 28 runs off 30 balls, breaking the budding partnership. Chathuranga de Silva then tried to accelerate the scoring rate as rain loomed, but his attempt backfired, and he was stumped off the final ball of the 14th over. The rain intensified, further halting progress, and with de Silva's dismissal, the Southern Super Stars were five runs behind the DLS total. The rain continued to fall, and Toyam Hyderabad was declared the winner by five runs via the DLS method.

Bipul Sharma and Shivakant Shukla grabbed a couple of wickets for Toyam Hyderabad, while Nuwan Pradeep and Rikki Clarke celebrated a solitary wicket.

Stay tuned for the presentation...
11:17 PM IST, Local Time: The rain is persistent, and things look bleak now, as we already had a delayed start to this match.

10:59 PM IST, Local Time: The rain has gotten heavier, and the umpires call for the covers. The players are still on the field, hoping for the rain to stop, but it is getting heavier. The pitch has been covered now. The DLS par score at the end of 14 overs is 103 runs, and Southern Super Stars are five runs behind the DLS par score.
13.6 R Clarke to Silva
W WICKET! STUMPED! The rain is getting heavier and this wicket has turned the whole equation of the game! Clarke gets a wicket to his name in his opening over and he is pumped up. Tossed up on a length around off and it turns away from the batter. de Silva charges down to accelerate the innings but is deceived by the away turner as he doesn't get any chance to play any shot and is completely beaten. The wicket-keeper collects the ball and takes his time to whip off the bails.
13.5 R Clarke to Silva
0 Good length delivery on the stumps, de Silva stands tall and defends it to his left.
A hint of drizzle has started.
13.4 R Clarke to Silva
4 FOUR! Binny in the deep drops it! Full-length delivery on the stumps, de Silva charges down and whacks across the line to cow corner region. Binny in the deep charges in and puts a dive but fails to grab it. The ball goes on to touch the boundary ropes.
13.3 R Clarke to Silva
2 In the air and safe. Good length outside off. The batter lofts it to wide of long-off and scampers for a couple of runs.
13.2 R Clarke to P Negi
1 Touch short and outside off. Negi cuts it to extra cover for a run.
