Milestone
That's it from the coverage of this game. We will be back tomorrow with more cricketing actions from across the world and across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Nicholas Kirton (Canada Captain): "Yeah, it's a good win. Obviously, we didn’t score as many runs as we wanted in the powerplay, but we discussed having a more proactive approach moving forward. Hopefully, we can improve on that today and get the desired results. I

think the bowlers would agree that they probably missed their areas in the first couple of overs. However, after the powerplay, especially Sandeep, Praveen, and Harsh, the spinners really stepped up and pulled the game back.

We actually just had a quick chat after the game yesterday, but we didn’t have any formal meeting last night. What we really focused on was showing a bit more intent in the batting, and ensuring that the bowlers are supported by the fielders.

It’s about continuing to execute their plans without worrying too much about the end result. And as I mentioned, a little more intent from the batters is key."
Rohit Paudel (Nepal Captain): "I think first, when we started well could have done better. 56 off the powerplay but in the middle overs we lost our way and then with ball as well we had opportunities but could not do well. The last few overs went the distance for us. Execution part was there and rain was there. Professional cricket and we need to learn well to do well. We need to learn from our mistakes and come back stronger for tomorrow's game."
Saad Bin Zafar (Player of the Match): "To be honest, it wasn’t too tough. There was some scoreboard pressure, but the wicket wasn’t playing badly. It was just about building one good partnership—we were just one partnership away from chasing down the total.

That’s what Ravi and I communicated between us. We decided to settle in, put away the bad balls, and place the good ones into gaps to keep the scoreboard ticking. That was the plan, and I’m glad it worked.

As a player, I'm used to playing in tough situations; it's the kind of role that's expected of me. So it wasn’t something new. It’s all about staying calm, controlling the pressure, and not overthinking the situation.

You just have to figure out the best plan for whatever situation you’re in. For me, it was about holding my nerve, staying composed, and focusing on watching the ball and reacting accordingly."

Time for the post-match presentation....
12:52 AM IST, 3:22 PM Local Time: So, we have seen a thriller of a game at Ontario. In the end, it was Canada who held their nerves to complete the double over Nepal and win this game by 4 wickets with 3 balls to spare. They go to the top of the points table with this win. Nepal had their moments but came up short in the end.

Chasing 140 for the win, Canada started off steadily courtesy of their openers Dilpreet Bajwa and Navneet Dhaliwal. Bajwa scored 25 and Dhaliwal scored 12. Harsh Thaker scored 11 off 9 balls. Captain Nicholas Kirton scored 26 off 14 balls. Ravinderpal Singh scored 20* off 21 balls. But it was Saad Bin Zafar's 33* off 18 balls that guided the chase and got them the win. 5 extras given by the fielding side as the target was achieved in 19.3 overs.

For Nepal, Lalit Rajbanshi was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/20 in 4 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane supported him well with figures of 2/23 in 4 overs. A wicket also for Sompal Kami as well as Karan KC and Dipendra Singh Airee returned wicketless.

Earlier in the game, Canada won the toss and asked Nepal to bat first. Nepal got off to a flier and dominated the powerplay getting over 50 runs and not losing a wicket. Anil Sah scored 41 off 30 balls while Aasif Sheikh scored 30 off 30 balls. Kushal Bhurtel scored 13 off 15 balls while Gulshan Jha provided the impetus in the end scoring an unbeaten 23* off 16 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee scored 12 off 9 balls. Karan KC scored 8* off 2 balls. 4 extras given by the fielding side as Nepal finished with 139/6 in 20 overs.

Harsh Thaker was the pick of the bowlers for Canada with figures of 2/17 in 4 overs. Saad Bin Zafar bowled well for his 1/13 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece also for Parveen Kumar, Akhil Kumar, and Dilon Heyliger. Kaleem Sana ended wicketless today.

So, a win for Canada over Nepal by 4 wickets with 3 balls left as they complete the double over them and go top of the points table. Stay tuned for the presentations.
