David Miller (Paarl Royals Captain): "It's going really well, just chuffed with the results these guys are giving, they came at us during the powerplay but credit to the boys for coming back to the game. He [Mujeeb] came into the game and pulled it back with the wicket of Quinton and it's nice to have him be present in the side.
The great starts we have had, means the guys have been consistent and if one does not perform someone else will. I'm really please with how we closed out the game today, Rubin was excellent and everyone contributed.
We have managed the travel schedule and stress really well. It's about putting everything aside and focusing on the game. We go again tomorrow, and then relax a bit as we have two home games now, so just relax and then focus on the game."
Keshav Maharaj (Durban Super Giants): "Yeah I thought we were 15-20 runs short on this kind of a wicket. I thought the wicket was a bit slow to start but we lost our way in the middle. Full credit to them because they bowled really well.
With the ball, we gave away too many boundaries and left too much for the spinners. We never got back in the game.
Yeah I thought under the lights the wicket played much better but like I said, we did not take pace off the ball too much especially in the powerplay, but yeah we need to look forward and win all our 3 games and then have to wait and see how the table stands.
(On QDK to Open and Klaasen at 3) Yeah most definitely it is the way for us in the upcoming games as well. You all were able to see what Quinton did today at the top of the order. Klaasen is due and hopefully he gets three big scores for himself and give us 3 important wins.
(To the Fans) Thank you for all the loyalty you have shown us this season. The results have not gone our way but we gave our all. We are all behind you and appreciate it. Hopefully we get back to winning ways next year. Love you all."
Bjorn Fortuin (Player of the Match): "It was a bit on the slower side, it's expected at Durban but not this slow. It was nice to bowl on this one. We got quite a few varieties in the group, we compliment each other nicely and fortunately we got the job done today.
Miller has grown as a captain in his own right, as always we set up ourselves strongly for the second half of the campaign. It's about adapting as the game as on, last few years I've been guilty of not being able to do that but thankfully it's going well this season."
Player of the Match: Bjorn Fortuin

Earlier in the day, the Durban Super Giants won the toss and elected to bat first, making a few changes to their line-up. DSG finally promoted Quinton de Kock up the order and it proved to be a masterstroke. He, along with Matthew Breetzke, got DSG off to a flying start, as the Paarl Royals struggled to find answers and failed to break the opening stand during the powerplay.
The Paarl Royals clawed their way back into the game with their spinners taking control after the powerplay. Bjorn Fortuin broke the opening stand, dismissing Matthew Breetzke for 25. From a strong position at 62/0, DSG stumbled to 81/4.
Heinrich Klaasen, promoted up the order, continued his poor run of form in this season's SA20, adding to DSG's struggles. Kane Williamson was also dismissed for a low score. Wiaan Mulder and JJ Smuts steadied the innings for DSG with a crucial 59-run stand for the 5th wicket, though it came at a slow pace off 45 balls.

In reply, Paarl Royals got off to a flying start, with tournament sensation Lhuan-dre Pretorius leading the charge. Despite Joe Root falling for a golden duck in the first over, the Royals kept up the momentum, racing to 70/1 in the powerplay. The Super Giants, feeling the pressure, quickly called for a time-out to regroup and strategize things as the Royals were taking the game away from the hosts.
Rubin Hermann (44 off 22) played a brilliant knock, timing the ball beautifully and scoring at a brisk pace. Though Noor Ahmad dismissed him, the Super Giants struggled to take wickets in clusters, allowing the Royals to stay in control of the chase.
It was a walk in the park for the Paarl Royals. Key contributions from Mitchell Van Buuren (41) and David Miller (24) helped them cruise to a dominant 5-wicket victory over the Durban Super Giants at Kingsmead. Stay tuned for the Post-Match Presentation!
