Milestone
That's it from our coverage of this run-fest from Hobart. The Hurricanes emerged victorious, registering their fourth win on the bounce this season in the BBL. Adelaide Strikers' season is now hanging by a thread, having lost 5 out of 7 games.

For now, this is me, Ajay Pal Singh, signing off on behalf of my colleagues AkshayaKrishna Polya and Paras Yadav. Goodbye!
Tim David (POTM): "Yeah, I said to Nikki (Nikhil Chaudhary) that I couldn't hit the ball tonight at one point in time when I was four off 10 balls. So, I got a bit of lucky that I got on a roll. It is a nice feeling.

We knew it was a good batting wicket, especially when it sprinkled a bit during the first half of our batting innings. The ball skidded on nicely. So, we loved batting under skiddier conditions.

That was definitely massive. I'm not sure whether it was bound to come out like that. Hey, everyone liked that shot. I liked it too.

Clicking is the right word for that. We spoke a lot before the season. We didn't have a great last couple of seasons and we were disappointed. We didn't want to carry that baggage with us for this season. We have found the template, and we have done well in the five games so far. With the business end coming up, that is how we should be going."
Player of the Match: Tim David
Trivia: The last time Hobart Hurricanes won 4 BBL games in a row was in the 7th season and then they finished on top of the points table.
4:58 PM IST & 10:28 PM Local Time: That's it Hobart Hurricanes have chased down the target with 8 balls to spare. This is their fourth win on the bounce this season. The last time the Hurricanes won four games in a row was way back in 2019. Tim David finally came to the party in this year's BBL and reminded everyone why he is rated so highly in the shortest format of the game.

Earlier in the match, Adelaide Strikers won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost D’Arcy Short early in the piece but Chris Lynn kept going and smashed 49 runs off just 27 balls. He got hit on the helmet once and on the ribs during his stay in the middle but managed to fight on and gave the Strikers a solid start.

Ollie Pope and captain Alex Ross added 74 runs for the fourth wicket. Pope perished for 33 while Ross made 33. Jamie Overton remained unbeaten on 27 off 18 to help the Strikers post 186/5 from their 20 overs.

Waqar Salamkheil picked up two while Riley Meredith, Billy Stanlake and Chris Jordan all picked up one wicket each.

In reply, the Hurricanes got off to a flying start courtesy of Mitchell Owen and Matthew Wade. They added 66 runs for the opening stand in just 4.4 overs.

Shai Hope again failed with the bat, scoring 11 off 12. 8 runs later, Ben McDermott perished as well. Tim David went berserk after a slow start and he unleashed his fury on the Strikers' bowlers. The tall all-rounder smashed 62 runs off just 28 balls to take Hobart over the line with 8 balls to spare.

4 FOUR RUNS!!! Chris Jordan hits the winning runs! Hobart Hurricanes continue their winning run, with this being their fourth victory in a row! Doggett searches for a yorker but bowls it on the pads. Jordan is clever. He plays late and uses the angle of the pacer to glance it fine. Gets enough bat on it to beat short fine leg to his right for the winning boundary. A Tim David special set up the chase in the Canes' favour as they thrash Adelaide Strikers by 5 wickets with 8 balls to spare!
