Azim Kazi(Player of the Match and Ratnagiri Jets Captain)- "I didn't have much plan while bowling. The ball was gripping and I tried to bowl dot deliveries. We tried to stick to the basics and bowl on the correct lengths.
I felt good throughout the match. We try thinking of one match at a time. We do a lot of plans but change as per the situations."
Player of the Match- Azim Kazi
Time for the post-match presenations.
Vishant More( Raigad Royals Captain)- "We kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and that is the reason we managed to score such a low score. I think the wicket was offering great help to the spinners. We did not apply ourselves well and wickets fell in huge heaps. We will come back harder in the next few games and will hope to get our first win."
17:14 IST and Local Time | Ratnagiri Jets have won their second game on a trot to start their campaign.
After being put into bat by Ratnagiri Jets, Raigad Royals got off to a great start, thanks to the opening blitz by Siddhesh veer and Mehul Patel who scored 15(11) and 24(19) respectively. They ended the powerplay with a score of 51 for the loss of 2 wickets. After the powerplay, Raigad Royals suffered a major collapse in the middle overs and none of the batters succeeded in contributing to the team's cause. Satyajeet Bachhav and the skipper Azim Kazi were the pick of bowlers who picked 3 wickets apiece. Raigad Royals were bowled out on the score of mere 102 runs.
In the chase, Ratnagiri Jets lost Dhiraj Phatangare in the first over but a solid partnership of 48 runs in just 28 balls between Preetam Patil and Abhishek Pawar ensured Ratnagiri Jets doesn't get any early jitters for the chase. Manoj Ingale bowled an excellent spell by picking 2 crucial wickets for his team.
But cameos from Azim Kazi and Divyang Hinganekar were enough for them to get over the line and secure their second win of the season with 7 wickets to spare.
