That brings us to a close of our coverage of this APL T20 game between the Uttarandhra Lions and the Vizag Warriors. For now, it's the pair of Soumarya Dutta and Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of our Scorer/Analyst Manish Bishnoi. See you soon!
Pinninti Tapaswi (Uttarandhra Lions Captain) : "Yeah we thought the boys played really well today. Yeah we also enjoyed a lot as it was a pressure match and we wanted Dheeraj to play freely and he did exactly that.

Yeah, it was a great experience for me to do Captaincy. We will definitely try to win this league as well."

Time for the Post match Presentations.
18:02 IST and Local Time- Unbelievable finish to the game and it was courtesy of that mega 120 run partnership between Teja and Yuvan. The latter put on an absolute show as he began a brutal onslaught scoring 65 runs from just 29 balls. They took the wind out of the sails of the Lions bowlers but it was a bridge too far for them in the end. Uttarandhra Lions win by 14 runs as the Vizag Warriors finished off 183/6 in 20 overs.

The Vizag Warriors got off to a disastrous start as they lost three wickets early on in the powerplay. Ashwin Hebbar played a whirlwind knock of 20 but it didn't last long. KS Bharat also failed to impress as he could only score 18 runs. By the halfway stage of the innings, Warriors had lost half their side.

The bowlers kept the stranglehold on even as Teja and Yuvan looked to rebuild. They put together a good partnership but the run rate required slipped away from their hands. Tapaswi and Tejaswi operated from both the ends and kept the run rate down. Once the game moved into the final five overs, they needed a massive amount of runs to win which seemed impossible.

Bandaru Ayyappa picked up a wicket and Kaldhi Kumar also picked up a couple of scalps. Vasu got one scalp while Prithvi Raj bowled a key spell getting two wickets. The partnership between Teja and Yuvan was the highlight of the game but in the end, Prithvi Raj held on to his nerves and defended 29 runs successfully in the final over.
