comprehensively defeated Bangladesh in the Warm-Up game by 60 runs.
The T20 World Cup starts from tomorrow and Team India will face Ireland on 5th of June at this venue itself with some confidence.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in an unknown surface. The outfield was really slow and some odd balls were keeping a touch low or getting some extra bounce in the surface. The experiment of Sanju Samson the opener did not work out as he was dismissed cheaply in the 2nd over of the match. SKY and Rohit got starts but couldn’t capitalise it onto a big score.
Rishabh Pant who is making a return into International Cricket after a long time has announced himself in style with a wonderful half-century. Shivam Dube struggled in the middle to get his timing right while the other All-Rounder, Hardik Pandya’s quick fire knock of an unbeaten 40 off 23 balls got India into a really good score of 182/5 in this surface.
