So West Indies have won the first Test match of the 2-match Test series. The action now shifts to Jamaica for the series decider that will begin from 30th November. Bangladesh will be eager to overcome their weaknesses and start a fresh. West Indies will be keen to keep the momentum going as they completely outplayed the visitors and secure the whitewash.

For now, Saptak Sanyal, your text commentator taking your leave on behalf of the scorer/analyst of this game Yogesh Kumar. Stick around as we will bring you with the updates of a plethora of games around the world. Good night, cheers!
Kraigg Brathwaite(West Indies Captain): "Boys have learnt a lot after the England tour. It is all about learnings. Batters got a few centuries in the recent past and it is a good thing to win a Test.

Justin Greaves as a pacer ia good Alzarri and Shamar as pacers were absolutely top-notch. In batting, we have to stay hungry. Batters got big fifties and this will give them the confidence. I think playing the balls better will be the key. We have to keep the momentum going.

It means a lot to win the match. I played a lot of matches in Test and First Class in this ground and I appreciate the crowd for the support."
Mehidy Hasan Miraz(Bangladesh Captain): "We bowled really well. Taskin was good. They were 7 down but had a good partnership and that was crucial. We didn't bat well but have a lot of positives.

We hope we come back stronger. We know where we made the mistake and we will work on that. Definitely we have good pacers now. We have Taskin, Hasan, Nahid Rana. We are happy for them. Taijul also bowled well in the first innings.

I hope we do well in Jamaica. We had some lackings. We didn't bat well in our both innings. Talking to the batters and fixing the problems will be the key.
Justin Greaves(Player of the Match): "Contributing for the team in the first Test of the series has been a great feeling. I think it was 250 when I came to bat. When Kemar came to bat, we tried to keep it simple and registered a good partnership.

Management told me to be myself. Kraigg actually backs my bowling a lot. I always keep believe in myself. I know I will have bumps in the road but overcoming it is important."
Player of the Match: Justin Greaves
Time for the post-match presentations.
Kemar Roach: "Fantastic group of guys! Extremely proud. Justin came in the fray, we saw his skills. I am happy to be a part with this guys. We don't have a big meeting and we tell the guys to be together. You have to give the best for West Indies. We will go to Jamaica and have a discussion overnight and come up with the plans. With Justin, Shamar and the guys around us. I am looking forward for the next Test match."

Alzarri Joseph: "It's always a pleasure to be with these guys. I specially like Jayden and he is great. For me, it's important to perform anywhere for West Indies. We have many legendary fast bowlers in this country and it's my time to show my skills."

Jayden Seales: "We are very much privileged to be a part of this attack. Alzarri keeps batters in trouble with his pace and we stick to our strengths."

Justin Greaves: "In the first innings, there was something to do but in the second innings it was all about hitting the right lengths."

Shamar Joseph: "Ya! Really happy to be with these guys. They have helped us when I knew nothing. It's all about enjoying the game."
8:11 PM IST and 10:41 AM Local Time | West Indies have started the 2-match Test series with a win by a margin of 201 runs. Their bowlers and batters were absolutely top-notch to outplay Bangladesh in every department of the game.

Today, Windies needed only three wickets for victory. Jaker Ali and Hasan Mahmud became the victims of Alzarri Joseph and Shoriful got retired hurt and that marked West Indies' victory. Only 7 overs were bowled today and Windies wrapped the game up.

In the first day, West Indies came to bat and they were off to a shoddy start as their opener skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and number 3 batter Keacy Carty got out for cheap scores. But Kavem Hodge came to play the second fiddle with Mikyle Louis. Hodge got out for 25 but Louis continued to impress. He and Alick Athanaze were with the onus and they did that with precision. Unfortunately Louis got out for 97 and Athanaze got dismissed for 90! But Justin Greaves didn't falter in the nervous 90 and passed that phase to register his maiden Test hundred to score 115 before his team declared. Kemar Roach played a good assistant's role to Greaves as he scored 47. West Indies declared at 450/9 score. Hasan Mahmud took 3 wickets for Bangladesh.

Coming to bat in the second innings, Bangladesh openers batted out the initial hours but Zakir Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy got out cheaply. Veteran batter chipped in for Bangladesh as Mominul Haque scored his third Test fifty against West Indies. He got out for 50 though. Litton Das scored 40 but got out playing the shot which he executed well. Jaker Ali played a fine knock and registered his second Test fifty before getting out for 53. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 23 to help his team escape the follow-on. Bangladesh were 269/9 at the end of 3rd day and they declared at that score before the start of 4th day's play. West Indies pacers were dominant in their home ground.

West Indies came to bat with a lead of 181. They started showing intent right from the start. Kraigg Brathwaite started scoring runs quickly but Mikyle Louis and Keacy Carty got out quickly and they were soon followed by their skipper Brathwaite. But Alick Athanaze took the aggressor role and scored 42 before getting dismissed. Unfortunately the Caribbean lower order didn't contribute much as only Alzarri Joseph scored 17 quickly to help the team score go past the 150-run mark. West Indies got bundled out for 152 and gave the visitors a mammoth 334-run target for victory. Taskin Ahmed was the star of the bowling show for Bangladesh as he took 6 wickets for 64 runs. He was brilliant to pick up his maiden fifer in Test cricket.

334 was too big a total to chase for Bangladesh as it was 125 more than their highest successful run chase in Test cricket. Zakir Hasan got out in the very first over and Mahmudul Hasan Joy joined his opening partner. Mominul Haque looked horrible in his 33-ball stay. He got out as Kemar Roach took a magnificent catch on his follow-through. Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the aggressor's role but they didn't sustain. Litton scored 22 off 18 balls and Mehidy got out for 45 off 46 balls. Jaker Ali showed some resilience but he lost his partner Taijul Islam for 4. Jaker Ali and Hasan Mahmud were in the crease to start the final day as Bangladesh are reeling way behind at 109-7, needing 225 more for victory. Hasan Mahmud got out in the second over of the day. Jaker Ali got out soon for 31 and Shoriful Islam was retired hurt. Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales were the stars of the attack. Alzarri wrapped up with two wickets today.
