That's it from our coverage of the 26th game in the Caribbean Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Faf du Plessis (St Lucia Kings Captain): "Oh My Goodness, what a great game for us, to play a strong opponent, after losing the toss, we batted brilliantly. Right in the powerplay, Johnson was exceptional today and its probably the best I have seen him batting.
Well I have played with him quite a number of times but those switch hit reminded me of KP so yeah outstanding.
Well, we have got 3 day games in a row, so we are a bit physically drained but we have to pick ourselves up and get the job done in our next game. It was pretty difficult to beat a great team.
I haven't spoke to Sammy yet but we will have a word soon. Really sad to see DJ Bravo suffering with an injury, really gutted with his injury, looks like it is the end of his CPL Season. What a man, what a player and he deserves a special mention."
Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "When Bravo came in to bat, he wasn't sure to win us the game. We want to thank him very much for whatever he has done for cricket for Trinidad and Tobago. We want to thank him, he is not in a good space right now. He is a charismatic character.
DJ went down, Russell wasn't fit enough to bowl and Narine didn't play so it was hectic with the ball. You have to look around who can do the job at the back end of the tournament. It was a good sort of shift for me today. But we have some work to do.
Its wonderful when you watch the quality of the players. When you give them different roles, they step up and everyone is enjoying the cricket and stepping in the park. Life is more important than anything else. Lets enjoy and see what's left in the tank."
Johnson Charles (Player of the Match): "I mean we had a very long session, planning ahead of this game and we did exactly the way we had planned and executed it really well.
What can I say, it was just delightful. The weather was really nice and I enjoyed my batting at the middle.
(On the switch hitting) It is something I started practicing for sometime now and I executed it well to be honest.
Also I would like to dedicate this jersey to Juju Alfred who won the silver and the gold medal at the Olympics and is coming back home today. This one is for you."
Player of the Match: Johnson Charles
