Time to conclude our coverage from the exciting CPL encounter between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors. I am Arjun Bhalla signing off on behalf of my colleagues Ajay Pal Singh and Ashok Dayma.
Imran Tahir (Winning Captain): "Look, I can expect anything from the team we have. I saw the pitch and decided to bat first and put them under pressure. Gubraz showed his skills, Hetmyer played a terrific knock and Keemo as well.
To be honest, nothing you can do if the guys are playing such shots. Ground is short and anything in the air was going for six. I told them that if they chase it down, it will be a brilliant effort (from them).
For me, I think it was more about belief. Romario got injured so that is a big loss for us. They were way above the required run rate, but we came back and took wickets. That gave us the momentum.
As a leader, everyone looks at you and what you are going to do next. I didn't want to give another over to Junior Sinclair, he did very well in the powerplay. I want to bowl the difficult overs and pleased I could do the job for the team. And then I always kept Motie's overs, and he has been bowling amazingly well."

Andre Fletcher (Losing Captain): Honestly, it's tough; it's very tough. Losing at our home ground, knowing the wind conditions. It was like a schoolboy's errors, I know it might seem harsh but the bowlers have to start executing the plans. When you have runs leaking on both sides, it's very difficult to set a field.
The wicket was good both batting first and batting second. We, as a batting unit, are comfortable chasing 220. I told the bowlers that if you can keep them to 220, we could chase this down.
We were doing well, but we lost a bit when Sherfane got out. There were both Sinclairs, which were my match-ups and Motie was Sherfane's match-up. We tried as a batting unit. We have two more games here, and the franchise, the owner, and the people need us to win those two games. I am quite happy; it would have been nice if I could have taken by side over the line. Shimron Hetmyer (Player of the Match): "I think it was an innings of two halves. In the beginning me and Gurbaz were going good. But with two wickets falling in quick succession, I had to change gears.
Yeah, it was the first time and it wasn't planned (hitting 11 maximums and no fours). I just tried to play each ball on its merit. I think it is all about, there's lot of runs scored here. Other grounds are a lot bigger. On this ground, bowlers are trying to execute but the batters enjoy it. There have been a lot of runs scored here before, we just had to be as clear as possible.
I think it is just a little bit clearer this year. I am a bit more hungry this year. I actually told the bowlers to bowl it wide because the cut shot was a difficult one to play."

8:42 AM IST and 11:14 PM Local Time: The Guyana Amazon Warriors have bagged a sensational victory over the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Warner Park by a colossal margin of 40 runs.
The SKNP batters had an electrifying start to the innings, notching 94/2 in the first six overs before reaching the 100-run mark in 6.1 overs.
Captain Andre Fletcher led the Patriots’ charge in the chase, striking the ball like anything. In the middle, he got assistance from Kyle Mayers and Sherfane Rutherford. He shared 69 and 61-run stands with them, respectfully.
However, Rutherford’s dismissal initiated a collapse for the Patriots in the chase. Raymon Reifer snared him, while Imran Tahir came and became the wrecker-in-chief with the ball.
He first bowled a double-wicket maiden to take Josh Clarkson and Odean Smith before Gudakesh Motie got the Spiceman’s number on 81 off 33 balls.
After Fletcher’s dismissal, it became a mere formality as the Warriors ran through the opposition’s batting to humble them by 40 runs. In the end, the pair of Tahir and Motie snapped three wickets apiece.
