PHEW!!! Another night and another thriller. This is what IPL is all about. The Sunrisers Hyderabad emerge victorious by a single run. It's time for us to take your leave. It was a pleasure bringing you all the coverage from this thrilling contest.
For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Sidharth Gulati and scorer Raju Khariya. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (POTM): "Ahh... That is my nature. But again, the process is very important. Even in the last over, I wasn't thinking too much. There was no discussion regarding the final over. We were just focusing on the process. I was not thinking about the result. It was about focusing on the particular delivery. Two good balls and anything could have happened in the last over.
I was thoughtless. I know; it was a full toss in the last ball. But he (Powell) missed it, and then you know what happened. I was not at all thinking about where the fielder was or where the batter was going to hit me. My complete focus was on executing the delivery.
The ball swung tonight. It was the first time this season that the ball swung that much. I enjoyed bowling with the new ball. I can't really pinpoint where the ball swung last. I was lucky enough to get the wickets.
My thought process significantly changed now with the way these batters are going about their business. I was thinking differently at the start of the season, but it has changed completely. Practically, when we bowled, we were trying to restrict teams to somewhere around 200."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR
Smallest margin of loss for Rajasthan Royals in IPL (by runs)
1 run vs Delhi Capitals, Delhi, 2012 1 run vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Hyderabad, TONIGHT* 4 runs vs Mumbai Indians, Brabourne, 2010
Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain):"Yeah, amazing game. The game was not done until we bowled the last ball. It's T20 cricket. We getting used to batters going over the line. In the last over, we thought anything can happen. Bhuvi nailed those last six yorkers. On the last ball, we thought about the Super over.
You try to get some wickets in the middle overs. It's hard. Nattu is an awesome yorker bowler. But they batted really well. We had to stick to our plans and happy to get over the line.
We have played some games here where 200 have been chased down. You can't give class players chances but they played really well.
Nitish played really well. Took the first 10 balls to get set and took on the bowlers. He is amazing. Great in the field and give us a couple of handy overs."
