Remember one thing! When Jos Buttler is in the middle, despite not being fully fit to his potential, no game is over! Sunil Narine did nothing wrong. He was spectacular. Kudos to his efforts, but life is not for the faint-hearted ones! Buttler, England's white-ball skipper, turned up and changed the context of the game single-handedly, keeping his nerves until the last ball.
Tomorrow, the caravan continues with GT hosting DC! For now, it's me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Sidharth Gulati, who, alongside our scorers/analysts Manish Bishnoi and Paras Yadav, who brought you all the live-acion of this sizzling fixture! Jos Buttler (Player of the Match):"Yeah, I think I keep believing. That was the key today. I was struggling a bit for rhythm. But whenever the negative thoughts came, I thought about completely opposite.
To keep the belief. At times, you feel frustrated and question yourself. But you have to stay calm. There is plenty of time in the IPL and funny things have happened. You have seen Dhoni and Kohli and just try to take it deep. Crazy things have happened and it about believing in yourselves.
I think that's something Kumar Sangakkara has taught me. There is a breaking point to everything. There is a time while batting that when you lose it and lose your wicket. He has told me to stay till the end and the momentum will change.
(His best IPL innings) I would think so. Whenever you are not out and win the game, it's satisfying."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: JOS BUTTLER
Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "Absolutely, we are really happy with the win. We were wondering about the wickets we lost. We did lose a few wickets, in fact, 6 of them, and then we had Rovman Powell coming in with a cameo and a couple of sixes from him kept us in the hunt. You need a bit of luck going your way, and they also played well.
Absolutely! With the quality of the spinners they had, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy, on a surface that suited them the most, we were looking at where those couple of sixes would come from. Rovman Powell got us that. Then Jos Buttler did what he does well all the time, what he has been doing for us for a long time. Jos did what he has done for us in the last 6-7 years, so I'm so happy for him.
Buttler's knock should go right on top. Being an opener, if he gets in, no runs are unchaseable. He does something special almost everytime he turns up for us."
