That is the end of a memorable victory for Zimbabwe against the World T20 Champions, India, in a low-scoring affair! The hosts lead the five-match series 1-0 with the second game set to played tomorrow (July 7) at the same venue.

For now, it is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Pritam Dey, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav, brought you all the live action of this banger. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!
Most successive T20I wins:

13 for Malaysia in 2022 and 13 for Bermuda in 2021-23

12 for Afghanistan in 2018-19, 12 for Romania in 2020-21, 12 for India in 2021-22 and in 2023-24
-India became the first full-member nation to face a T20I defeat after removing 9 opposition batters for less than 100.

-4/13 from Ravi Bishnoi is the joint-best bowling figures by an Indian bowler in a T20I loss alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 4/13 against South Africa in Cuttack in 2022.
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain and Player of the Match): "Yeah, certainly feel happy with the win today. But we are going to take one game at a time. The series is not over. The World Champions will play like World Champions. We will enjoy the victory today but have to take it one game at a time.

It's slightly sticky and slower since it's a winter and the spinners bowled brilliantly from both ends. That helped us put that pressure on their batters.

I said I don't care about the result as far as we go out there and put us a fight. The good thing is that we backed ourselves and our plans. We made some errors but it's nice to make those so that we know that there is still some room for improvement.

We said in the dressing room that the fans are going to bring in the energy and we have to lift ourselves. It was great to see their support today."
Player of the Match: Sikandar Raza

Shubman Gill (India Captain): "Yeah definitely we bowled really well but we didnot field upto our standards in the outfield. Yeah it was just not to take much pressure on our shoulders and bat freely but it did not work well according to our plans.

Yeah you could say that (his wicket was the turning point) but we were already 5 down at the halfway stage so yeah we were already in the backfoot. Really happy with the way Washi batted but as a collective group we did not play well."

Its time for the Post Match Presentations.
