Ellyse Perry (POTM): "Ah... Sometimes, it just goes your way. Isn't it Mel Jones? The girls were eager to play this important game. It was nice to come out and play a great game with the girls; it was just really enjoyable. It's great to get a win against such a great team.
Have been working hard with my coaches back home in the last three years. The conditions were quite good, seaming around off the surface. It helped me. I just managed to find a good length, and it did a little bit off the wicket.
The games come thick and fast, and I loved that partnership with Richa Ghosh and it was great to spend some time out there in the middle. It was definitely not an easy chase. Things became tricky in the middle.
We are getting used to the conditions in Delhi and looking forward to playing some good cricket here. It's the same opponent in the Eliminator and hoping to have a final bound (chuckles)."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Ellyse Perry
Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore Women Skipper): "Yeah, definitely, last match, losing by one run was not an easy one. But the conversation we had before this match was that that one run doesn't define us. We just have keep our heads high and keep believing in ourselves.
Sajana had the promotion and had a good start. Even Hayley batted well. But there was calmness around the group since the morning and since the team meeting. It was a brilliant spell to watch from Perry.
It was an important match for us. Since we have arrived in Delhi, we have had two tough losses. I was standing at mid off and was going 'Wow' watching Perry's spell.
It's pretty much like quarter-final. We just thought if we are good enough, we will play good cricket and qualify. We didn't want to look at what other teams are doing and net run rate and happy to get to the playoffs."
