That's it from another low scoring but a thrilling encounter in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Bishal Mandal. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "The way everyone showed the body language on the field was good. All the batters and bowlers did their job well.
Last 10-15 days we are planning all those things and did our job so very happy. Not very easy, they bowled really well but on wicket like this we should have batted easily.
Very important for Litton as he is struggling since the last 2 series. He batted really well. Hridoy was very courageous playing that Hasaranga over like that.
Very happy with the crowd. I hope they will come back again. Thank you for coming."
Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka Captain): "Yeah, of course. Our batters batted really well in the first 8 to 10 overs. But in the middle overs, we batted badly.
You know, our bowling attack is our strength. If the batters put 150-160, we can win the games with our bowling attack. In the last two games, the batters didn't do their jobs.
It's tough. We have lost the first two games. We have two more games. We will try to come back stronger.
We bowled with four main bowlers. We had to keep attacking. Our four genuine bowlers did the job but we had to make another four overs with our all-rounders. That was the turning point."
